'Made In Ashland' is a one man shop I started in my garage over the past few years. I build solid, wood furniture to last generations.
I have long hated the direction that current, mass produced, furniture making has taken. The cheap veneers and particle board used in current furniture construction only insures low prices and short furniture life.
With fewer and fewer craftsman continuing to build quality furniture, I began acquiring the tools I would need to carry on a tradition that is slowly slipping away. I use only local, Appalachian, kiln dried hardwoods to produce quality furniture for generations to come. There is no pallet wood in my furniture.
I build simple furniture with a slight shaker influence in a way that I can be proud to put my label on.
Up until this point, I have worked in my spare time producing furniture to be sold in local resale shops or for friends and family.
I am now taking my hobby a little more serious and am proud to say that I am now open for business.
