Great soul good, and good prices, with the service to match. Everything is always fresh and the restaurant is always very clean. Happy to see they are still thriving during COVID.

I went to have a nice soul food meal, I got a fish dinner and a wing dinner and from the looks of everything I thought the food was going to be delicious. Unfortunately, the meal was terrible, the wings seemed like they had been from two days ago, the fish was fried to hard, the fries tasted like they had been cooked in old grease. Also, I didn’t mind paying 50 dollars for my food and seven dollars for a side, if the food was honestly made with love, but it was terrible. I usually give places a second chance, but the time and money I spent to get a good meal and got some old leftover food I was applauded. I don’t recommend this spot to a dog.

From the person who took my phone order to the one who bagged my order and checked me out the staff was very courteous. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. I had chicken wing dinner with corn muffin, collards and cabbage and a side of cornbread dressing. The chicken wings were well seasoned, fried to an amazing crunch. The dressing was okay. Moist but not flavorful. I appreciated that I was given an ample amount of both gravy and cranberry sauce. The collard greens and cabbage were pure perfection. The collards had just a hint of pepper. I was asked whether I wanted cabbage with or without turkey. I got it with turkey got the bone to prove it was real. The cabbage also had bell pepper pieces and were absolutely delicious. I will return with no hesitation.

The mac n cheese was great and the ribs were incredible. The sauce was perfect, not too sweet but lots of flavor. Collards were not to be missed and the. Corn bread was heavenly. Not dry and just slightly sweet. The service was friendly and real nice. This is my new favorite comfort food place without a doubt.

My mom and I just came here today for lunch on a whim, and this place is truly a gem for good eats!! We got two rib dinners with collard greens, Mac and cheese, yams, and dressing, as well as an order of rib tips and their catfish nuggets. Oh my goodness!! Everything we had was amazing and had so much flavor and you can taste the love that goes into this food. The catfish nuggets were fresh and SO yummy, the seasoning is perfect and it was cooked just right. We also tried their strawberry shortcake and it hit the spot. We will definitely be regulars here now and we HIGHLY recommend checking out this place ran by sweet people

Amazing!!!! Good portions and excellent food!!!!

I was very disappointed that I called my order in, got there and the doors were locked. Long story short, the person answered the phone forgot to cook my food. So I waited another 20 minutes, though I ordered '4 wings', but received 8 wing dings instead. I was more disappointed to the fact that this Soul Food restaurant did NOT seasoning the wing dings with a least a grain of salt. They tasted like they were tossed in flour and fried until they were nice and golden brown. Please Madea, you MUST do better with fried chicken!

This place is some timey most times the food is delicious, but my most recent order was the last. We ordered two dinners, fried chicken and smothered pork chops. My husband was satisfied with the pork chops, but my dinner wasn’t good. Anytime you pay $15 per dinner you expect a good dinner. My Mac and chesse was horrible. They clearly scrapped the five day old Mac and cheese from the bottom of the pan and served it to a customer. The corn muffins were dry and burned under the bottom, and the black eyed peas tasted like canned beans. The chicken was only okay. Anytime you could sell your customers five day old Mac and cheese let’s me know you really don’t care. I will never buy another dinner from there. Your dressing is horrible too!

Food was OK got shorted on a piece of fish. Mac and cheese was bland and greens were good. They are way overpriced on the deserts they sell. $7 for a piece of cake is outrageous. I support black business but not to the point of mediocre and over priced food. They need to step up their game.

I enjoyed my meal. I ordered a fish dinner with red beans, rice and greens for my sides. I was greeted immediately. The business is new and obviously there will be some kinks that will be worked out over time. However, I wanted a home cooked meal and didn't wanna have to do it and this restaurant delivered. I will definitely give them my business again.
