Took our puppy in for a first time grooming and he came back absolutely handsome as heck. The ladies are fabulous and listened to my preferences and offered great advice. Puppy came out happy and we’ll be back in six weeks! Only downside is the location, but I can deal with that.
Long story short, they cut our dog so badly that it ended up requiring stitches, but instead of telling us, they tried to close the wound themselves and didn’t even tell us it happened. She would have died because the wound was opening and infected. We have brought our dog here many times, and towards the end she would come home with nicks, or cuts which is understandable since dogs move a lot, but it was always frustrating that she wouldn’t tell us. The last time we took her she came home with a big wound, and extremely shaken up. We didn’t notice the blood until she got home, and no one told us ANYTHING and didn’t even call later. We left the dog alone a couple of days to reduce the trauma, and when we cleaned up the wound we noticed something hard on her belly and rushed her to the vet. Turns out that they had cut her so badly that they applied glue to seal the wound! They are not vets, they can’t close deep wounds. They can’t administer antibiotics or pain medication. She had to get 2 stitches, and the vet had to rip the glue off and cause more pain! She would have called as soon as it happened, I don’t care if you’re halfway through the grooming, not wait until pick up, much less try to hide it and not tell us at all and fix it yourself. It’s cruel that the dog had to suffer in silence without even lidocaine. She paid the vet bill, but that doesn’t cover the trauma the dog had to go through, or the irresponsibility of trying to be a vet.
Having gone three times now to groom our year old Portuguese Water dog, we are very satisfied with their services. We drop off our dog around 8:30 and get a call that he is ready before 2:00. We gave printed instructions on how to groom a Portie and they followed them! He looks good and like a Portie should look! We are very impressed because other groomers we visited with our previous Portie could care less. However they listen and give advice. Their suggestions on time to groom have been very good. They are friendly and clearly like dogs. They care for their customers, both human and canine! Their prices are very reasonable $140 for 50 pound dog, not grossly inflated as other groomers have done $300. We will continue to use and support them.
Madeline's Pet Grooming was responsive to my phone call, quick to be able to explain what they would offer my 7-month old golden doodle and what it would cost. I dropped Stella off at 8 and picked her up at noon after getting a phone call to let me know she was ready and she looked great. Nice women, good service and reasonable prices!
We needed a new groomer for our Old English Sheepdog and found Madeline’s. Booking the appointment was easy and I was able to get an appointment quickly. Julie did a great job on our fluffy boy and that says a lot coming from me because I can be picky when it comes to my dogs. The pricing was fair, and Terri and Julie were both super nice. We’re so glad we found Madeline’s.
This is my first time visiting. I brought two small dogs in for a bath. They mentioned needing to bring the dogs in early around 8am on the day of the appointment. The staffs there seem very friendly, Terri provides helpful tips on how I can take care of the dogs with their hygiene at home. She seems very experienced, the services are reasonably priced in my opinion, dogs are clean and content. I would recommend them.
We had an awesome experience at Madeline's! Calling for nail trims for my Greyhound and Saluki, we were accommodated the same day. Maria performed the trims like a rockstar! She was calm, patient, professional and provided good insight regarding maintenance and the status one of my dogs' nails. It was apparent Terri and her great staff love what they do and are experts who care. Having many nail trim experiences elsewhere, this was off the charts positive for all of us - even my Saluki, who is a nervous wreck with nail trims. We will definitely be returning, likely for teeth cleaning next time!
Came in on a Wednesday, and the groomer had headphones on, so she didn't know I was there for 10 minutes.... had to call to get her attention! She was being really rough and yelling at the long hair Dachshund? she was working on, which was concerning and should have been my cue to leave. She did a quick trim on my 1st dogs nails and complained about him struggling when she traded for the other. I noticed my dog was very apprehensive and wanted out of there. When she returned my 2nd dog, I noticed all the blood on the floor from the 1st dogs feet! She cut the quick on nearly every nail plus nicked one of his toe pads!! My poor baby could barely walk for 3 days after! My other dog also had bruises on her legs she had thin fur, and all of her nails were left jagged. This woman is abusive and seems to hate her job! I will never go back here again!! The website is also catfishing everyone.... those photos are not from this place. It's small and dark in there with a tiny entrance area. Put up some honest photos if you're going to have a gallery on your site!
Very quick friendly service. It was my kitty’s first bath since he was adopted as a stray. He did not seem traumatized or scared afterwords and his hair became so soft and silky. They even expertly trimmed his nails and underbelly. We paid separately for getting his teeth tartar cleaned and they did a great job. Would recommend this to kitty parents.
After years and I mean years of looking for the right groomer for my precious miniature schnauzer. I'VE FINALLY FOUND HER and she's the owner of Madeline's Pet Grooming Salon in Santa Clara!!!! If you love your pets as much as I love mine it's amazing to found someone you can trust to leave your baby with. I've been taking Bailey to Madeline's for several years and have always been 100% satisfied. Terri LISTENS to the type of grooming the owner wants. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating and they never keep the dogs longer than they have to. Thanks Madeline's Pet Care
