A pleasant environment slightly marred by graffiti. Would temporary murals solve the problem? Maybe having said murals shipped to an exhibit every 3 months would incentive less vandalism. Just a thought.
Staff members are all very friendly, and ambiance is relaxing and calm. The library is organized and clean.
They offer free tax filing. The volunteers are professional and good at the job. They are well organized and very nice, on top of it. You will need your actual Drivers license and actual social security card. If you received a stimulus dont forget the letter they sent at the end of the year to you that says how much they gave you. You need that. Its first come first serve and they spend about an hour per person. They start at 10:30am but the line starts early. Worth it if you got the time. I believe tomorrow 4/16/22 is the last time they are doing it this year. But they usually offer it every year. 5 stars
The library has a small native garden which is so relaxing...there are lots of butterflies and hummingbirds in the garden. The staff is awesome...they go beyond helping their patrons. This library is really quite unique and a hidden gem in Riverside
I work in the main library in my city. Everywhere I travel, I visit the main library of the city and am always impressed. What really impressed me about this place is the 9th floor inside garden. It was amazing. There really isn't much in terms of security, but I'm not sure how bad that place gets. As for getting around, every floor after the third floor is easy to navigate. It's the first floor that is confusing and the map they give you does little to help the confusion--just ask around. Overall, very spacious, and a good place to study.
As I drove up into the parking area, "NICE", was the word that I uttered silently. Most of the parking spaces are canopied. Covered parking, how cool is that!? Everything; all the trees, the grass and the shrubs appear so well maintained and cared for. On exiting my automobile I observed an interesting looking walled and gated area with an outdoor sign installed a few feet in front of it. The marker was tastefully designed with words and the graphic likeness of a former city assistant district attorney. "Kathleen M. Gonzales Memorial Waterwise Garden", the title indicated. After visiting an attractive, up to date, library I briefly enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful and secrene waterwise garden. Amazing park-like atmosphere with breath taking and strikingly lovely plants and trees. Also, took a photo of a small bird at the exquisite bubbling bird bath. And the library, inside, has it's own children's area with books and computers just for the little ones. Overall, a unique and outstanding supplement to the other fine libraries in the city.
Library was closed on the 26th of June 2021 do to the new opening of the new library in Riverside. Was quiet no concerns no issues no problem for me the security officer that was on duty.
A clean , and stress-free library. Shaded parking spots and staff with exceptional customer service. Definitely worth a long commute getting here in this library.
Excellent staff, plenty of computers, and very nice parking spots as well as an outdoor reading place. Definitely recommend it.
