The Madisonville Fire Department is a fully paid department that operates 4 fire stations with 61 members and a fleet of 15 vehicles. Station 1, located at 98 East Center St., is considered the headquarters station with offices of the Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Prevention Division, and the Training Officer, in addition to fire suppression forces. MFD maintains firefighters on duty at each station 24 hours per day. There are three shifts that work 24 hours each and are on a unique rotation to ensure around the clock fire protection and rescue services to the citizens of Madisonville.
