Ms. Jeane is a true treasure. She’s very sociable. I enjoy how she interact with the residents of all types of disabilities making them feel included in the current activities. She always makes sure to disinfect everything before and after any activities or events including when it’s time to eat. She’s easy to talk to with any concerns and helps extend to the proper channels of authority and personnel. She’s a lovely addition to Maefair’s short and long term residence in which I can’t say the same for others.
My father just had a short stay at Maefair Health Care Center for post-hospital care focused on physical rehabilitation, and I was extremely impressed with the facilities, rooms, and staff. I live across the country and was able to visit for a few days. They took such good care of my father while he was there. He arrived using a walker and his rehab was so successful that he walked on his own out of the center on his last day. I felt that they were very attentive to his needs both mentally and physically. In addition, everyone that I came in contact with was very pleasant, genuine, and welcoming. I was met with such a warm hello upon entering the facility on the first day. I want to thank all of the staff for their help, and in particular the social worker, Paige. She always kept my family and I in the loop about my dad’s progress and assisted us greatly with his discharge plans. Living out of state it was very reassuring to work with someone who so competent and knowledgeable about the different resources that my father was able to take advantage of. In addition, she was very patient with me as it was hard to get a hold of me at times while I was at work and with the time difference. She also went above and beyond to steer me in the direction of other resources that my mom might be able to access after she was discharged from the hospital my parents were both in the hospital at the same time, even though she was not a patient at Maefair.
My mother has been there for a while now and she’s always been kept well. Thank you to the staff for always being respectful and treating my mother and my family well. There’s moments like anywhere else where everything isn’t always the greatest but on a scale of one to ten she’s happy. No bed sores, no dirty sheets that I notice when I visit. Whatever she asks for she receives and whatever we her family asks we receive. Thank you maefair for making my mothers permanent stay here be well and comfortable.
Staff was very kind and attentive from what I saw while here but the building should be deep cleaned. A lot of it is nasty and outdated. The tiles are gross. It's just so outdated and filthy.
Would not recommend. The nurses are apathetic and you have to stay on top of them to make sure your family gets the proper meds, care, etc. The place is old and run down. The PT staff was great.
My sister-in-law was a Maefair resident for the past year and I can't rave enough about the excellent care she received. The staff is very dedicated and professional. They remained in constant contact with me regarding her health, especially during the Covid pandemic. The recreation department is top notch, they offer many varied activities. The Christmas party was incredible and I could see how much all the residents appreciated being able to invite their families to attend.
I spoke to her supervisor about the ambassador about how she was very helpful in a lot different areas since my stay here. for instance she helped me setup my computer from microsoft to google. investigate further for me to get my proper showers since i have a fentlynol patch that has to be changed every 3 days and a lot of other things and etc etc.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! This nursing home totally neglected my sister. She had a wound so bad on her foot that was not treated she went into sepsis and had to have her leg amputated above her knee. Not to mention other wounds that she had on her body. Since she is left there she has been on deaths door a couple times. She has been in the hospital for over a month due to the neglect. She is still fighting and is a fighter and has handled everything that has happened to her with grace.
The ambassador Jeane is a great addition to Maefair. She is very kind. She helps us in every way possible. She makes me smile even when I’m having a bad day.
I would recommend anyone to send their love one to Maefair for any assistant living. I went to visit my aunt and this place is well kept. She has been in a few places and was never happy and she is settling in very nicely here. Everyone is so attentive and it’s so what we been looking for.
