Magic Scissors Dog Grooming of Park Ridge

Love love love Magic Scissors! Unfortunately, we haven’t had the best luck with groomers in the past. However, the experience at Magic Scissors was absolutely great! The team is so friendly and really made me feel great about taking our boys there. Both dogs were super happy when I picked them up, and they looked GREAT! They didn’t seem uncomfortable or scared at all which happened in the past when taking our labradoodle to get groomed. I feel lucky to have found this place and the amazing people that we encountered during our visit. This will be the only place where we take our boys from now on…. Just look how cute they turned out!! Thank you!!!

Good haircut on my small dog, but rude groomer - left dog on grooming table for three hours, claiming she had too many snarls in her wiry hair. I had just combed dog out the evening before. total appt took over five hors and multiple dogs in salon at one time. Will not return

Theresa and Jowy are amazing. I'm so glad that I found them. Magic Scissors is caring and gentle. My newly rescued pup was accepted with open loving arms here. If give 10 stars if I could!

Staff is awesome and Gizmo always comes out looking like The Little Prince that he is!

First time here and they were wonderful! My poor pup got skunked and they accommodated a last minute appointment. They had a special treatment for skunking and gave me tips on how to handle the situation. Easy, on-time drop off & pick up. We'll be back!

I was referred to Magic Scissors a couple months ago and haven't ever had such a wonderful experience in all my years of being a pet parent. I wouldn't hesitate to trust the entire crew of Magic Scissors with my baby.

This is a great spot. Was recommended by my good friend & they always do a superb job. My dood always looks great & this spot isn't as pricy as some of the other groomers we've been to in the past. This is our groomer now. :

This is the second time we take our dog to Magic Scissors. The first time she had matts and the groomer explained they would have to shave her, which I expected. I scheduled an appointment for her because again she was knotted but not as bad a the last time. I waited almost a month for this appointment. Today we dropped her off at about 9:30 for her 9:45 appointment. By 3:20 I hadn't heard from them about picking her up so I called. The person who answered the phone told me they were just working on her and apologized because they were down a groomer. I explained I was calling because my husband works evenings needed to be out the door by 4:30 and I am at work until 7 so we wouldn't be able to get her until then. They then said they will try to have her ready in 30 minutes, 20 minutes later they call to tell us she's ready, we pick her up and she is completely shaved! Now I knew they would have to go short but shaved.. Nope.. this was because they had to rush through the service. I did not call to rush them but simply because my girl was there for 6 hours and I hadn't been updated nor were we informed at drop off that they were "down a groomer". If we had I would have made arrangements to make sure we were available for a later pickup. I expected more from a business with such positive reviews. My poor girl was there for 6 hours when in reality for a shave it should've been way less. The first thing she did was paw at her water bowl. She was clearly thirsty. If they're going to keep them that long they should at least make sure they're hydrated.

Theresa is amazing! I have a rescue and I couldn't have been more comfortable leaving her there. I was referred here by my old groomer which that alone says something in my opinion. Theresa asked tons of questions to understand what my dogs quirks were and what her triggers might be. I'm sure my talker drove them nuts but she was so happy when I picked her up. You could tell it was a positive experience for her. We will definitely be back!
