As a certified prenatal yoga teacher, I follow the current ACOG exercise and fitness guidelines and provide safe and effective instruction in the postures most beneficial to pregnancy.I have been teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga in the Lansing area since 2008. I began my yoga journey at Hilltop Yoga,with Hilaire Lockwood, where I trained to become a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. I apprenticed to teach Prenatal Yoga. I took coursework with the International Childbirth Education Association in Perinatal Fitness and completed a Prenatal Yoga and Conscious Birthing workshop with Janice Clarfield of Urban Yoga in Vancouver. I am a Certified Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. My classes are rooted in the traditional yoga principles and informed by exercise guidelines suitable for pregnancy. My classes flow and pair movement with breath. The postures I use are suited for pregnancy and will help you alleviate the aches and pains, build strength and flexibility and help you focus. You will gain body awareness and practice relaxation techniques that will help you through pregnancy, the birth of your baby, and beyond.
