Main Street Grill
"One of the best pieces of advice that any season traveler can give is that when you are looking for the best place to have a meal, eat where the locals do. If there is any truth to that dictum, The Main Street Grill is the best meal in town. If you are looking for a place to grab a hearty breakfast before starting off on your day trip up the PCH, this is the place to go. While the traditional fare of pancakes and eggs may suit some, I recommend the Main Street Special of eggs with diced Italian sausage, ground beef, spinach, mushrooms, onions and herbs. After that kind of start, you will be ready for anything.A local institution for the past 23 years, this is a restaurant with character to spare."

ALL DAY BREAKFAST. Super good and yummy. Girlfriend liked the blueberry pancake while I got the Italian sausage eggs Benedict. Pictures below.
We decided to hit up my favorite local spot this morning and discovered they are CLOSING! They have been a part of this community for almost 25 years, a true mom and pop diner with exceptional food. I would come in and sit at one of the blue-vinyl booths and order my usual, the honey wheat pancakes. The springs on some of the seats were extra "springy", and I would sit there reading about singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole on the Jazz posters, and bouncing like a kid as I waited for my food. I have still NEVER found a place whose pancakes compare to those here. Wherever the cooks and servers go, I wish them the best of luck, and wherever the owners end up, I wish them a lifetime of good fortune, and hope they don't stray too far from us.
Wow! The portion are huge so you get a lot of bang for your buck. The food is delicious. I had the French toast and was just expecting regular French toast, I was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended!
This is your average diner fare with better than usual coffee. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
The food was great. BlackBerry French Toast, Veggie Omelet, Eggs Benedict all gourmet quality served in a neighborhood diner atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Would have shared the pictures but we ate it before I remembered to take pics of the lovely presentation. We will certainly be back.
Great food, friendly staff, good price. That's all matter in my view.
Got garden burger.. veg patty was good.. fries was really crispy.. liked it The toilet is extremely clean..
So sad so see this place close down out of the blue. This was a secret gem for us, best Huevos rancheros and the best French toast in the Bay Area. You will be missed Main Street Grille
Love this place! Well worth the drive from SF. My favorites are the Mexican benni and corned beef hash. Both are absolutely Divine!! The servers are really nice. Plus it's a sweet area with cute shops with interesting things. Really nice to walk around the area after a delicious breakfast.
Excellent brunch spot. Conveniently located, not extremely busy still a 15-20 minute wait, and good, reliable food. Eggs Benedict never disappoints. Authentic, homey diner feel!
