Description

Main Street Lodge and Suites is located right in the center of beautiful historic downtown Port Huron. We are a short walking distance from local shops, nightlife, restaurants, and the Desmond Marina.

Located right across the street from McMorran Place Arena, directly next to Maria’s Downtown Café, we are two blocks west of the beautiful St. Clair River.

Main Street Lodge and Suites was originally constructed in 1966 and has been transformed into the beautiful inn it is today. We have completely upgraded the lodge with all of the best amenities. We are an affordable choice for those who wish to experience the beauty and history of the city of Port Huron.

Just two miles from the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, the Thomas Edison Museum, and the Port Huron Lightship located at Pine Grove Park, there is plenty to do and see. Within walking distance of fantastic dinner cruises featured through the Huron Lady Cruise ships, and the local area Trolley which will take you on an historical tour of downtown Port Huron.

This was an okay stay. Jacuzzi tub in the room was nice. Bedding was itchy for some reason. Mattress was creaky. Front desk was good and provided us with plastic glasses and coffee cups as they weren't in the room. Breakfast is not served here. I'm a light sleeper and was awake most of the night as the ceiling above creaks a lot from the people above. It is not a well soundproofed room. Parking was good. Location Central.
It was a quaint little place locally owned. Very close to all the excitement downtown. I was able to walk to dinner, then we walked along the river front and stopped at the Irish pub for drinks. We had a great time in Port Huron, and the customer service at the lodge was wonderful. The gentleman at the desk helped me with my luggage, and even opened the continental breakfast at 5 am so I could eat and have coffee before we caught our train.I would highly recommend staying here. The next time we visit Port Huron this will be my first choice.
CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN...Did I tell you it was CLEAN? Newly renovated, Comfortable, and Quiet rooms that have a fridge, microwave, wide screen HDTV, cable, and WiFi. I LOVE their comfortable Pillows and Mattress. Outstanding, accommodating service. I was so glad I chose this hotel. It is located in the heart of downtown Port Huron. Close to everything and the river. This hotel is run by the owners and they take pride in it. So when you come to Port Huron, YOU MUST STAY HERE. You will be glad you did, like I was.
I was very surprised at how nice the rooms are. I WISH I WOULD HAVE TAKEN SOME PICTURES before I moved our 3 weeks of belongings in. I got on here because I felt lead to leave a review which I have never done before and I travel all over the US for work and saw all the bad reviews once I got on here and surely wish I would have taken pictures to prove them wrong. I am moving to a downstairs room this coming weekend and I will surely take some. The motel has been totally remodeled from the front door to the back and is very nice and clean. The breakfast room is also comfortable and clean serving oatmeal, cereal, toast, hunny buns, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, bottle water, coffee, hot chocolate, a very nice restroom so you don't have to go to your room, and TV, hope I haven't forgotten anything. The staff has been VERY FRIENDLY on all shifts to us and courteous. So what if the parking lot isn't in brand new shape but it isn't that bad. Maybe they plan on doing it next because they done a fantastic job on the inside. There is about 15 co-workers staying here also and their rooms are just as nice. I am enjoying my stay here and the friendly staff too. Don't know why someone driving down the road thought they had any good reason for getting on here and posting such negative comments and has never been here. HUH! Some people just don't have anything else better to do. I am from the bottom of the US so I do not know anyone here but I sure have met some friendly people that works here. Don't judge a book by it's cover, some things are a work in progress. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in this area again. The price is also very competitive. I am paying about half the cost I have ever stayed in ALL the other motels I have stayed in which is a lot of them. I am extremely please with the rate. Hope this is helpful to correct the ill reviews that do not reflect my experience staying here.
Very poor curb appeal. If the exterior is indicative of what you'll find inside, I'm afraid to go in. LAST FALL, the owner hired some "down on their luck chumps" to paint the place for him couldn't afford professional painters?. They didn't finish, and what they did paint is faded 50% already. So it's been months of nice weather this year and not the slightest attempt to finish the job. Blue and orange. Obvious they don't really care. Looks dumpy. This speaks volumes about a business. If they're ok with the exterior looking so seedy, I would imagine they're probably ok with dirty bathrooms, bedbugs and reusing bedding too. No one can take a place that looks like this outside seriously.
Good people,very nice and helpful. The room doors are a little tricky at first but otherwise the room was very nice and clean. It was nice to be in walking distance to the shops and things.
OMG best place I have ever stayed at! Felt secure the whole 5 days I was here, amazing staff and my room was the cleanest hotel room ever.
Didn't even get a chance to try out the hotel because of the horrible customer service.. Booked my room back in April for August 130th threw the 18th..Call today to verify my reservations and they triple booked the room I reserved then hung up on me when I requested to speak with the owner!
Great location, okay rooms. beds not that comfortable, pillows not that great. Nice stass though.
Rooms were alright, but it seemed very lacking in customer service. Nonetheless, it's a solid stay for a budget.
