Awesome place! Excellent blackened chicken salad, blackened chicken & andouille gumbo, white bean & sausage over rice. SO flavorful! Topped it off with lemon chess pie and chocolate pecan pie--again, SO good! Great staff and adorable setting. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend!!
We just returned from a three week, thirteen state road trip, and while in Vicksburg happened upon this charming restaurant for lunch. My husband and I both agreed that this place gave us the best meal of the trip, and we ate some good food! The salad was one of the best I've had, and the muffulletta was delicious. My husband got the summer chicken sandwich, and loved it. We ended our meal with the chocolate pecan pie, which was excellent. Thank you for making our visit to Vicksburg even more memorable!
No pretentious-ness, just freshly and expertly prepared GOOD food. You get that warm and friendly feeling as soon as you walk in and everyone is more happy to serve you than any Chick Fil-A employee.
While visiting Vicksburg we were recommended this place. It was a lovely lunch we were seated quickly and attentive staff and great break from ordinary meat and threes my crispy chicken pita was delicious and tomato bisque was Faboo! My teens enjoyed chicken salad and gumbo and plates were licked clean! Each dish was $10 and included soup or salad. We will be back it’s a pleasant place for a relaxing lunch.

The shrimp remoulade pita and gumbo tasted great. So good I ordered it twice.
Stopped for lunch while visiting Vicksburg. The food was outstanding. The house salad had a delicious dressing that complimented the fruit in the salad. But the highlight was the cheeseburger! Oh my! Cheese and bacon on a slice of French bread with Mayo. The wait staff was efficient and friendly. We will definitely go back on our next visit and I’ll be trying the Reuben sandwich next!
Was recommended this by a coffee shop I went to. Had blackened chicken sandwich and a cup of cauliflower n cheese soup. Wish they had gumbo or beans n rice in a cup.
Absolutely LOVE this place! EVERYTHING is made fresh and served with loving hands. Salads are great with homemade dressing, the soups come with these adorable/delicious mini biscuits, and do not sleep on the gyros!! -chefs kiss- I would post photos but I always devour my food before I even think about snapping a pic-
Great local place in Vicksburg. Best gumbo in town! The lemon chess pie is a classic. Hope for the Green Pepper Corn Tilapia, yum. Edit 8 years later... Still the best lunch in town, still the best gumbo, still killing it every single day.
