Loved how much was packed into 5 day package to llandudno and the driver was brilliant
Coach journey was rather long. south wales to Newquay took 9.5hrs. With 2 x stops. Upon arrival a little complication regarding my room then every thing else went to plan. with wonderful excursions, clean rooms, wonderful food and staff very helpful and not forgetting our driver Roy Davies who made everyone happy and relaxed thanks Roy. And thank you Majestic I will be booking again.
Recently visited the Cotwolds staying at the Britannia Hotel in Coventry. Holiday excellent value for money but yet again the excursions were too short! I have given this feedback on every Majestic holiday I have been on but unfortunately nothing has changed. We visited Bourton On The Water which was a lovely place but we only had just over an hour there and that included having lunch!! I understand some travellers are elderly but to return to your hotel three hours before dinner is rather annoying!
Just come back from Wales. Llandedod Wells too 8hours to get their, 9 hours to get back. Stopped in the most terrible places for two hours when the passengers requested one hour. First coach trip never again. Hotel good food good hotel staff very helpful. Coach driver got lost on the way up. Arrived late for the first outing. Itinerary never thought through. Very disappointed never again. Valerie Woodward.
Just got back from a great short break in Blackpool, my best friend and I stayed at the Carousel Hotel . A Very nice hotel, that like many others all over the country, could do with a little attention in a few areas. The food was excellent, but there were a few issues with mine as I’m gluten intolerant. A couple of evenings my food was wrong and whipped off the table as I was given food containing ingredients I couldn’t have. There was some miscommunication between the chef and waitresses.Maybe an idea would be to mark the menu with a GF besides the meals I could have, rather than having to run to the kitchen to ask, as the hotel was given a lot of notice of my condition Shower cubicle was very small and I’m not very big, but the shower itself was brilliant As for the Entertainment each evening, very good. All the Excursions were well planned and our coach driver Mark Thomas went above and beyond to make sure everything and everyone had a good time. He has a hard job and deserves recognition for all he does. Would I return?YES Would I recommend ? Most DEFINITELY 10/10
Just returned from Fort William & Isle of Skye tour, I have been with Majestic many times before and never heard so many fellow passengers complaining. The Ben Nevis Hotel is not up to standard and should not be used again by Majestic. Although some rooms were ok, many people were complaining about cleanliness and shabby decor. Our room was through 8 doors and corridors in the anexxe, a Iong way from amenities . The breakfasts were ok but dinner was of poor quality. Also there was no Scottish welcome or entertainment as advertised and no wifI in our room or indeed on the coach. My main complaint was the time spent sat on a coach, of course I understand the distance involved in getting to the destination, all the more reason to spend less time travelling huge distances when there. The tour to Skye was a non entity, we drove 80 odd miles to spend an hour in Portree then 80 miles back, on the poor roads that trip took 8 hrs. Also the trip to get a boat ride on Loch Ness was great but was spoiled by then travelling on to Inverness just for a 90 min visit. By this time everyone was thourougly fed up with being on the bus, not to mention the fuel cost to the operator. Our driver was a nice guy and did his best but he was no tour guide and information was scant, the tour would have benefitted from a proper tour guide.
To say I'm disappointed with my experience with this company would be an understatement. Where do i start, The problems started with booking. Myself and my partner were travelling with a friend who requires daily use of his mobility scooter, with his mind we requested that the scooter be put in the hold of the bus for the journey. We were told to complete an online form which we did with weight, dimensions etc and they requested we put the scooter in ourselves and remove it ourselves which we were fine with. We never heard back from this request so we called the company who surprisingly informed us that this is not something they allow and a scooter would not be something they'd allow us to take on the holiday. We were extremely shocked and disappointed as this would affect his holiday in a huge way given that he needs this to get about. The coach company that majestic outsourced were incredible, the bus driver couldn't do enough for us he went out of his way to help the entire holiday but to our dismay, he was also expecting the scooter, he had made provisions for the scooter also. This cost us extra as we had to hire one. We could only get hold of a days hire whilst in York so the rest of the days our friend had to struggle meaning he didn't get the full experience he'd have liked to due to the inability to get around. Onto the Royal hotel, the rooms were very tired and in desperate need of a refurb. The evening meal on the first night, gravy and corned beef pie were extremely salty. There were no teaspoons, only a stirring stick! The custard with the dessert was burnt, i wondered what the smell was but upon tasting it, i knew straight away it was that. The rest of the food on other nights was extremely salty and of poor quality, no porridge option at breakfast which i was surprised at, cheap quality food on all fronts. There were no lager glasses available so lager was put into a beer glass which made it very glass so we went elsewhere. We went to the grand hotel opposite which is owned by the same Britannia hotels group, paid for three pints of lager and left them on the table, they were undrinkable. I asked the receptionist in The Royal Hotel if he could please call us a taxi and he refused as it would cost them money to do so! I've never been so disgusted. After seeing the Templestow hotel in Torquay outsourced by Majestic which is first class, we were shocked in the contrast in quality. There are run of the mill hotels around but they put this in the shade, this once was a good hotel and i speak on experience from my visit many years ago.
Went on a comedy weekend at the Templestow hotel Torquay had a great time. Hotel lovely and the food was great. Entertainment was very good. Can see why people return year after year
Just come back from an appauling trip to Birmingham, Stratford and Cheltnam. Itinerary was a shambles. Only had a 5 hours in Birmingham as coach picked us up at 3 pm and only 2 hours in Cheltenham ! Hotel was awful. I've yet to have a reply regarding my complaint. Would never travel with Majestic again after this experience.
Hi got back from Llandudno couple of weeks ago and had a very good time. I was worried about the trip as had some issues at Christmas with hotel but my faith has been restored. We had a lovely bedroom that had been updated with a sea view. The tours were great and Tony our driver was excellent. Thank you.
