**update** majolica will be closing in December! Make your reservation now to get one more wonderful evening at this legend! **Orig. Review**. Great quality food and presentation. This is a place you want to go to spend 2-3 hours enjoying a delightful evening of dinner conversation. Good variety of food options - the staples like oysters seafood beef you would expect and fun stuff to try like rabbit, sweet bread not what you think and cow tongue. Small portions make the food more appetizing and help you to savor each bite.
This is my favorite restaurant in the Philadelphia suburbs. I think it is a terrific local find that will surprise you. Although relatively small, the variety and creativity of the menu stacks up with any Philadelphia restaurant. My favorite things are the focaccia bread, the tuna and potato chip amuse-bouche, the soft-shell crab BLT, and the flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream! Ask for Cheryl. I can’t believe they are closing in December 2019. So sad. Get there before they close for good!
Went here as a birthday treat and it was phenomenal. Went with the six course tasting and we really enjoyed stepping out of our comfort zone, trying octopus, rabbit and sweetbreads they were all amazing One of my favorite things was the cantaloupe sorbet with cinnamon oil and crispy bacon. It's BYOB!
One of the best dinners I have had in a very long time. My husband took me on my birthday which we made reservations for a few weeks in advance. I am glad we did because for a Thursday night, it was pretty busy. The sweet breads, duck and all the desserts we tried were to die for, and the service was impeccable! I will definitely be back, and hopefully next time do one of the tastings!
Positively wonderful! It is clear the chef sources the highest quality ingredients and innovatively creates magnificent tasting dishes. The presentation of dishes is both thoughtful and artistic. Finally, the atmosphere is inviting and the service superb. A truly lovely experience!
Had a birthday dinner here last night and, just like always, Majolica never disappoints. Food and service are excellent and the menu continues to have a mix of both old favorites grilled octopus and interesting new things to try squid ink spaghetti, which was awesome by the way. This continues to be our go-to place for special occasions.
Majolica is unbelievably good! Try it! Sunday chef's choice is always AMAZING! We go there on our anniversary each year. The ambiance is eclectic. It is BYOB and not overly high scale in decor, but this place cannot be topped in at least a 100 mile radius!
Majolica is the BYOB in Phoenixville we kept meaning to visit. We finally went tonight and it was fantastic. I was a little concerned because I heard they had simplified their food and reduced prices during this recession. Whatever they've done, it was still excellent. We had a white corn soup that was probably the best I've ever tasted, a grilled octopus appetizer that even the non-octopus eater said was good, excellent steak and chicken, and what may be the world's best fries--with black truffle butter! The menu is not extensive but there are enough options to please even picky eaters. The portions were not Cheesecake-Factory-huge, but still enough that we left with lunch for tomorrow. Highly recommended!! If you've been thinking about going, try it mid-week and get the prix fixe menu. An excellent value and terrific food!
Meant to go to this restaurant for a while and we finally tried it. Definitely worth it, great experience. The food was really great, with some unusual but tasty choices. Nothing to envy to an upscale restaurant in terms of food. The service was really courteous and attentive; while waiting for our 1st course they brought for us an amuse bouche and later, before our main course, they brought us an amazing little sorbet, totally unexpected. We were also there with two young kids and they treated them like little kings too. Will definitely go back!
Holy mother of food, this place is good! I have been burned one too many times by expensive restaurants, but this one was worth the $65 I paid for the 6 course tasting menu. I will be dreaming of oysters from now on! I had multiple dishes featuring food I don't usually like and they were fantastic cantaloupe sorbet sticks out in my mind. The basics: the menu changes all the time. The tasting menu is only available on certain days check the website. You will want to get a reservation they are closing soon and booking up in the meantime. BYOB. May be tricky if you are not food adventurous.
