My friend and I went here for a light dinner as we had an activity planned in the city near the restaurant. While the service and atmosphere were nice, the food was a bit lacking and my friend did not like the drink she had. The Caesar Salad with grilled chicken was good. However it is supposed to come with the Caesar dressing and there was none on our salads. If we weren’t pressed for time we could have sent it back but we just ate and went along our merry way. My drink was good, except the end was just seltzer water. She only drank half her drink because she didn’t like the taste. For just two cocktails and two salads it was over $85! I think this was a bit too high of a price for what we got. We were thinking about $60-65 for everything. We didn’t know since we had no price for the grilled chicken. We ate at several upscale restaurants in the city on our trip, and even paying this price we had more food and better quality of food at other places. I don’t recommend this place, unless you have $$$ to spend.
My recent visit to MAKEREADY L&L left me with mixed feelings. While there were some aspects of the experience that I enjoyed, there were a few disappointing elements that I cannot overlook. Let's start with the positives - the ambiance was lovely, and I particularly admired the abundance of plants throughout the restaurant. The greenery created a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, making it a refreshing place to dine. Moving on to the food, the bacon served was undoubtedly a highlight. It was cooked to perfection, crispy yet tender, and bursting with flavor. I found myself savoring every bite of it. The toast was also a delightful surprise. It was well-prepared, with just the right amount of crispiness and a delicious, buttery taste that complemented the dish perfectly. Unfortunately, my experience took a downturn with the Ham and Cheese omelet. The omelet was excessively greasy, which detracted from its overall appeal. The excessive oiliness was quite off-putting and made it difficult to fully enjoy the flavors of the dish. This aspect left me somewhat disappointed and dissatisfied with my choice. Overall, MAKEREADY L&L has a lot of potential, with its inviting atmosphere and standout bacon and toast. However, the greasiness of the Ham and Cheese omelet was a letdown for me. With a bit of improvement in the cooking process, this restaurant could easily earn a higher rating from me in the future.
Went here with a party of 15 and dined in the private Polk Dining Room with a prix fixe menu. The endive salad was very flavorful and the tiramisu had a rich coffee taste. The braised beef and chicken parmigiana was a hit within the group. The focaccia and balsamic was a great way to start the meal. Service was a bit slow so definitely budget extra time if you’re planning something after. Staff was attentive and very polite.
We had a great birthday celebration with my in-laws. All the food was great and the service was excellent. Maybe just because it was early the place was mostly empty. I had the Chicken Parm which was a little different take on the dish but I enjoyed it. We also has the Salami and Cheese board and I forget what it’s called but this like giant mozzarella cheese stick thing which comes in a boiling stone bowl of sauce.
The pasta here is AMAZING. So good. I wondered in and sat at the bar…the first night. It was so good I went back a second time. The pasta is made in house and you can tell. I had the carbonara and the mezzaluna. They also have great drinks too!! Fun fact, this is right next to a speak easy and they were having a Halloween hidden bar about 20 feet away. The service topped it off. Great recommendations. Just an overall great time with great food. ENJOY!
AMAZING FOOD!! We went for brunch and the french toast was out of this world and I don't typically even like french toast. My eggs, bacon and potatoes were also heavenly! Great "mimosa" with pineapple and the service was also fabulous. SO happy to have chosen Noelle so we can eat here every day!Food: 5/5
The decor of the place looked amazing. The table was sticky to a point I used my napkin to cover my area. The waitress did not notice. Service was okay. The chicken was great. The waffles could be called pancakes instead. No hard crispy shell. The hot honey was no existence. For the amount of food and quality of the cook, the pricing was simple bad.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Make Ready in Nashville and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both chic and cozy, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic date. The food itself was fantastic, with a variety of creative dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. I particularly loved the shrimp and grits which had a unique twist on a Southern classic. Overall, I highly recommend Make Ready to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Nashville. The service, atmosphere, and food all exceeded my expectations.
I stayed at Noelle and part of our package included a complimentary breakfast here. I was excited to try it but found dining here a bit disappointing. I had 3 breakfasts here and each time I had a different waiter and none of them were friendly or had great service. I’ve tried the hot chicken sandwich and the chicken was way too salty, chicken and waffles, painters plate and the kale Cesar salad with shrimp. The food was very average and the best thing I ate there was the fries, the fries were very good. If it weren’t for the complimentary breakfast I don’t think I would’ve ate there again.
Everything we ordered was excellent! Our server was so nice and knowledgeable of the menu. Definitely order the Brussels sprouts and tomato pie. I loved the L&L burger. The food and cocktails are all amazing and we can’t wait to return!
