Established in 1994, Malabar Trading Company is a Monterey Bay and SF Bay area based online retailer offering an excellent selection of award-winning, authentic chai spice blends, premium single estate loose leaf teas, classic tea blends, and unique herbal tisanes. Our spices and teas are sourced from tea gardens and estates renowned for exceptional, handcrafted teas that are grown and cultivated using sustainable farming practices.
Malabar Trading Company also produces handcrafted, artisan products including herbal wine gelées, honey creme spreads, whole grain mustards, and preserves with locally grown fruit. We are known for our tea 'nibbles' and freshly baked pastries that we serve at the farmers markets.
In addition to our online business, we are members of the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets. We are vendors at the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College, Saturdays, 8 am until 12 pm and at the Monterey Farmers Market at Monterey Peninsula College on Fridays, 10 am until 2 pm. Malabar Trading Company's artisan mustards, preserves, jellies, conserves, and finishing glazes are handcrafted in small batches using only the freshest, California grown produce. Whenever possible, we seek out our local farmers who grow organic or heirloom varieties of fruits and oftentimes begin processing the fruit within hours after harvesting for the best possible flavor.
Our goal is to create unique and delicious pantry-handy condiments that can be used in a variety of ways, from spreads for toast or biscuits to elegant appetizers or desserts. Our products will entice and delight the most discriminating gourmet.
