It was a very nice park. Although it seems like most of its purpose is to view the Gateway Arch. That's fine since that's why we went there. It allowed us to get a nice view without all the hassles of traffic and parking. We didn't want to go up in the arch, so this was a nice alternative. The platform was wonderful that gives you a perfect view of the arch and surrounding park. There is a bonus that you have the Mississippi River in your view as well. It's very nice and probably results in really nice pictures. Unfortunately for us. It was late afternoon so the sun was starting to get low and facing us. It was also hazy out. But we still snapped a few shots and enjoyed the view. The pictures still we not bad. The rest of the park seemed pretty basic, but a nice place to hang out and relax. They had rest rooms as well. So it's a nice little park. But it's also a really nice alternative view of the arch. So it's worth a visit.
Went to this park to watch St Louis fireworks. We enjoyed the ramp walkway leading to the statue. That view is just amazing! The geyser is really cool and there's so much space to walk, run, play or just sit and be outside.
Hidden gem in my hometown! Best place to see the STL Arch is at the top of the observation deck here! Great location for prom, graduation, proposal pics I've witnessed all while there on different occasions. The park is quiet and a nice spot to walk, I'd imagine the loop is about a quarter mile. The grass is lush if you want to sit barefoot a while. And during the summer months you can catch the geyser going off or just sit and chill in the gazebo watching the geese & ducks in the water. One of my favorite spots to just take a breath of fresh air! Almost forgot, there is a camera running at the top of the observation deck. If you make note of the time you're there, you can go to their website and view your time up there.
Great little park for views of the arch. It's an easy stop if you are just passing through. The area is sketchy, but the park is well maintained and safe. My son and I had fun watching a couple trains go by, looking at all the company names and even some graffiti.
Nice photo op. But rough roads getting into. Glad we visited but little out of the way and hard to get to so definitely would check out before going.
I like how well the park is kept. There isn't a whole lot to it other than the fountain, overlook, fields, and some restrooms. Getting to the park had several confusing turns and some streets had a fair amount of trash. Sadly we came on a day when the fountain wasn't going. We didn't know beforehand that there were certain conditions that needed to be met before the fountain could be on display. Overall, a good and simple park.
A small park with a great view of St Louis and if you are there at noon during the Summer, you can see the St Louis Geyser. Park felt perfectly safe despite the reputation of East St Louid
Amazing place. Great view for the 4th of July. You can view the Airshow and Fireworks with no problem! Also Right by where the water shoot up! Great time! Plus they have an elevated stairway that you can walk up and get an amazing view of the St. Louis Skyline.
Had great view, Maybe due to covid-19 there weren't any one around. The place looks like it's been abandoned. Lonely roads. I would suggest not going alone, plan with a group. The only thing that felt a little safe was a servallence camera on the top.
Great view of the Arch and the city. Plenty of parking. There is a neat webcam set up and you can visit the website provided to view footage for 24hours. Go wild! This is a pretty place to watch the sunset and the walkway has good lighting. Restrooms available. Plenty of picnic space and grassy areas for the kids.
