Visited today for the new Avatar movie. This theater does not have heat, or is too cheap to turn it on. When we voiced our concerns, we were told that we should have read the sign on the door. 3 hours in a 30 degree theater ruined the movie for all!
It's been 20 yrs since Ive been to the movie theater. I really enjoyed the movie I saw. It was delightfully surpriing. However, the theater needs to be cleaned better, one would think the floors would not be sticky, and the men's room next to #10 is awful. The business is slow , so someone needs to clean. I'm glad I wore a mask and had sanitizer. Otherwise, would have changed my mind. I'll definitely have to think hard about returning. Who is the management? Someone needs to check into these things.
Nice theater. I have been going for years and some of the reviews you read about this movie theater are false. Very intimate, never really “crowded” and if you learn when to go, you can practically have one of the 10 cinemas to yourself. Staff is friendly, and very respectful. The bathrooms and facilities are clean. Sure....you’ll see an occasional wrapper or straw paper lying around, but, nothing excessive. No foul smells that I have ever encountered in the years I’ve attended. Always feel safe and secure! Prices are typical for a movie concession not $16 for popcorn and an up charge for a lid as I have read Definitely look into the stubs program they offer and download the AMC app on your mobile device. This is a nice place, and is ALWAYS our first choice. Amazing stadium seating, comfortable and a perfect setting for the amazing effects and quality screen with DdS.
Before retirement my wife and I were so busy we'd maybe go to 1 movie a year. We've been to 3 this month alone. AMC offers a discount card if you sign up plus a discount for seniors. Nice comfortable theater.
Clean and popcorn was hot .
Never had a bad experience here lol, the prices for snacks are getting kind of ridiculous tho !
Pop corn is great to eat and drinks to wet the thirst is tasteeeee movies are top notch have certain days you go cheaper to movies place is always clean smells good in there like clean and butter pop corn that i cant resist
This is a nice intimate and spacious small theater in the town of Shelby. The seating is new and clean and rarely crowded because Cleveland County is so localized. If you are looking for inexpensive tickets, low traffic and a nice movie off the beaten path, this location might be perfect for you. It is also located near the Cleveland Mall and many restaurants on Dixon Boulevard/ 74.
Bought 1 ticket in person for my 15 year old to see a PG13 movie with her best friend. Dropped her off early so they could get a good seat. Nearly 30 minutes later as I arrived home from the drop off, I get a call from my teenager saying the theater is now not letting her watch the movie without an adult. Telling me it's now a rule because of "unruly" kids. At no time during my 1 ticket purchase for her did they inform me of this new rule. No signage. They said I had to drive back to get her to watch it with her which would normally be fine if it wasn't for it already starting for some time after the previews. Total waste of what was supposed to be a fun night with her best friend to see a new movie they had been waiting on. Then to cap it off, they only wanted to give us a gift card as a refund... As if this terrible service would make me ever want to spend another dollar at the Shelby AMC theater. 1 star. Parents beware, Movie ratings do not even matter at this theater.
needs id after 6pm for a pg rated movie. never been an issue before but now it’s ridiculous.
