Very excited about the opportunity this will bring to the area. It is also beside the current service center I work for and feel much safer. I would enjoy a job with this division
I have encountered the Manassas Police twice in the last week. Once, they were rousting me for borderline illegal behavior. Tonight, they approached me to ask for information about a neighborhood incident that I might have knowledge of. In both cases, they were professional, courteous, and respectful. In the borderline case, the officer said he was not coming down hard on me because I was cooperative, friendly, something like that. How you conduct yourself matters, at home and with cops These cops are good, professional, and effective. I support them. Recognize the authority you as a citizen have granted them, and you will have a thoroughly pleasant encounter with them.
Senior Police Officer Thomas Rodriquez was so incredibly helpful with our case. I work with immigrants and Officer Rodriquez was willing to write a letter for our client's immigration case after his arrest which helped our client greatly with his immigration matters. If the other officers have the same integrity and compassion Officer Rodriquez does then this must be one of the best police departments in the state of Virginia. Thank you Officer Rodriquez for assisting our immigrant communities in Virginia.
They might want to see what has changed in the last few months within their department. All the recent reviews from about 6 months on were negative. Makes you wonder if they are really there to serve and protect. In my experience they were unprofessional, they blamed their lack of communication on old devices that yet to be upgraded. Not honest, they question each other because they don’t know what exactly is going on. If they were to handle a serious situation I am not sure how well will that go. They need some major training and some better order and leadership.
A car i was in was raided by there narcotics unit a few days ago... The driver Which was a female was told to get out of the car and when she asked why she was forcefully removed. The back seat passenger and i got out and i asked why i was told to get out. They gave no response. They then detained the three of us. They asked if they could search me and i told them no. They went ahead and went through my pockets anyways and found nothing illegal. They found a small amount of an illegal substance on the back passenger and arrested him. They arrested the driver for having a failure to appear in another state and i was released with no charges. I am homeless and had to get all of my worldly belongings out of the car, they kept my phone illegally and unconstitutionally for "evidence" and left me stranded homeless and without a phone in the middle of manassas. Why do police get away with violating our rights?
Guys. I know it's tough out there. Manassas isn't a perfect little town, but there are good people who live here. You deserve better than 2 stars on Google. Keep up the good work, and be safe out there.
The Manassas Police Department has shown respect and provided great service to those that obey the laws and those that want to live peacefully in a society. It's too bad that society has accepted and allowed those that break laws to maintain any rights especially the right to complain after admitting to being arrested of how they were treated. I guess if you first didn't commit a crime or break a law then you wouldn't have to worry about being mistreated which being mistreated is relative. If you had done nothing wrong and the police abused your rights, then yeah, you've got a case. If you think that you should keep your rights after breaking a law and prior to receiving the consequences, buy yourself a raft and paddle out 200 nautical miles off the East coast, there you can continue to do whatever you want, you loony!! Yesh, people like you are the problem. The Manassas Police department did nothing wrong. Your perception of what is right and wrong is skewed. Good luck.
They are very professional and timely to a scene, and follow up.
Shout out to the officers of MCPD who are helping us work a stubborn dog barking issue. Thanks for listening and thanks for caring.
Great service and officers. I feel safe knowing we have the MPD around.
