Been here for kids indoor classes, clean and familiar place. They have a lot of free and low cost events through the year in their facilities.
A comprehensive community center for Manassas residents at all ages, including recreational facilities; gym, pool, after school classes. It’s planned to arrange tour trips and special program for senior citizens. You can enjoy from services provided by friendly and responsive staff.
I asked if they allowed service dogs before I brought my dog in the building. They said he’s allowed but made it clear he wasn’t allowed in the pool. After about 10 minutes, I’m asked to leave the building with my service dog. Mind you, he was sitting next to me, causing no issues, just doing his job. I felt completely disrespected and embarrassed. And it’s a shame management doesn’t know laws on service animals.
This place is so disappointing I agree that they give opportunity to teenagers but with the supervision of an adult now I have to pay $1,500 for not knowing how to explain or take the work seriously and respect the customers Send to collection …this is no my fault this fraud pay 1500$ for nothing they need a professional employee…
Very well organized place. Staff was friendly and professional. Center was clean and they are community friendly. Edit: I don’t recommend the swimming lessons for younger kids. The classes are very rushed, kids are not being taught just pulled and pushed around to do something than on to the next child. They are left unattended because the kids have to wait their turn. They don’t even go the full 40 minutes of time they specify for the lesson. I was really excited for my child’s swim lessons. But now all I worry about is if he aspirated water or not.
one of the Hispanic secretaries who wears glasses who is on the morning shift, she doesn't like to speak Spanish, she doesn't care that people who don't speak English arrive, she provides a very bad service, she is arrogant, believing that she can do whatever she wants with the people who humbly ask for information, as if they were not paid a fair salary for their work, as if they were working for free, when people leave in front of them she begins to mutter to herself and say derogatory things, she offers her work with a bad attitude, and she even looks down on her own colleagues, making them look like they don't know anything and that she is better than everyone at everything. In my opinion, people like this should not work in a position like that, where a lot of kindness and patience are required with the people who come to ask for information or to register their children for classes, since it gives a very bad presentation of the place, when she She is not forced to be there, she is there because she is paid a salary, a salary that comes from the same people she treats badly when they come to register.
Great price, it is $5 per family for non residents. Good place for daily walks, nice play grounds, basketball & baseball courts, and a dog park. Indoor swimming pool. Kids activities. No portable restrooms so the only restroom is inside the community center. Beautiful green areas and shadows. Perfect for a sunny day picnics. Few setting areas Make sure to bring mosquito spray and portable chairs if you can NOT set on the ground.
Amazing community center. I grew up there and now it has any type of activity you can imagine. An offers many programs
First time there. Employees were friendly and helpful! Told me about the rates and was given restaurant vouchers good for listed local restaurants. Have to be a Manassas Park resident to receive vouchers.
I workout here every other day. I really love it and I am glad I became a member. Their community events are not always the best, but my daughter loves them and the community center is close to where I live. The staff is usually helpful. Their "kid's korner" is great for my daughter, and she loves playing with the kids while I work out. She also really enjoys the pool, which they recently renovated. Their gyms have a ton of equipment for normal person. This is not a "gym rats" gym, but certainly more that sufficient for someone like me. They also have free aerobics classes if you are a member. I go to one a week, and I really like the trainers. Overall, it is a nice place to go. They have a few features that I have never used, but I can say I will continue my membership. Edit: I've updated my review to 5-stars. My family has been going to the community center for nearly 5 years, and its just a great place. Lots of activities, classes, and extended care options that are super affordable.
