My husband and i had our wedding reception at this restaurant. I loved it, the decoration and settings of the place was beautiful, thanks to Kamiliah. They catered the food and it was good, we didn’t get any complaints from any of our guests. We had our own selector. He was amazing. Shoutout to SupaSting. We had visited before on a regular day and the music was ok. The customer service was satisfactory, I can’t complain. On that note I would recommend this place. Authentic carribean food...large portions slow service. They even have a dj playing loud music. Good rum punch!
It has new management and goes by the name Smack N Crabs. The food, service and drinks were excellent.
I ordered thighs with my meal from this place n they gave me breasts. When I call to tell the lady she made a mistake she said I was lying. Do these look like thighs?! Terrible customer service... waste of my money..
A bit pricey for Caribbean food and the service is on the amateur side. When we first arrived we had to ask them to please put on some music while we sat at a table for 10 minutes before anyone said anything to us. The food was decent enough, but when we got the bill we had a 20% gratuity added on at 4 in the afternoon for 4 people. Definitely a cute place, but they need to step it up a lot. In addition on a 40 degree rainy day they had no heat on. We froze the entire time. Will not go again anytime soon. Help is definitely needed! Side bar The macaroni and cheese was the bomb!!
I love the food but I hate the lack of consistency and always running out. They upgraded their ambience for the majors leagues but Still operating their customer service like they are in the minor leagues. I would advise using analytics and historical data to determine what customers on a Saturday evening or a Tuesday night will order so you can determine how much you will make. Pick up your cue from the big restaurants and franchises and you can be one yourself. I got tired of gambling with them because it I order oxtail 2 out 3 times, I guarantee they will cancel on you. Especially if you order online. Also have more manners and better customer service. Stop acting like you are doing us a service when we are paying for it.
Went day after T'giving with my daughter and only dine-in, no take-out, was on offer. The goat curry w/ peas and rice on the side was very good, the Mac and cheese was meh. Service was extremely slow and we were the only ones in the place. The kicker for the rating was the bill came with an 18% gratuity tacked on - for a party of 2! - plus the option to tip. Someone not carefully looking at the bill could easily double-tip. I don't remember seeing the tipping policy on the menu, and I think the practice is deceptive. I'd return for the goat curry, but only for take-out.
I love this place. The food. The atmosphere. The specials they offer, especially on seafood night are great. Prices are a bit on the high side, but the food portions are enough for two, so it evens out. Free parking and great location.
Walked in on a friday night, around 9, immediately noticed the music was way too loud, there were no greeters, there was only one table occupied with three women, no other guests insight. We were given a menu which seemed rather limited in options and to top it off most of what was listed was not available.
Horrible they ruined my cousins birthday! We were a party of about 20 with pre fixed menu's ...to start the menu had few options and out of the few things they still didn't have the stuff on the menu. Second we waited about 3hrs for food kid you not, on top of that a few people had to cancel because after waiting so long the waitress still forgot their food. Horrible music the guy was playing music from his phone which eventually died. The worst experience I've ever had going out!
