Got my car towed after an accident yesterday without my consent to a very suspicious company called Absolute towing. Was asked by officer price and connors if I had triple A and I said yes. Was on my phone working on getting them on the way. Without my consent got this absolute towing company and I went and got my car from them today and the bill was outrageous and by law they are supposed to have there prices posted someplace which they do not. Must be some sort of incentive they collect from the towing company. Very fishy department. BE careful!
Sergeant Keller violated our civil rights and Illegal searched and seizure of a vehicle, no charges made. $175 towing fee for a normal $50 fee from the location. After reading other reviews about this department, it is not in my best interest to file a formal complaint due it will only result by my being targeted by this and other departments. I respect and pay my $6k/yr in school/ property taxes and comply with law enforcement. We were shown no respect. I believe this officer is in collusion with the towing garage. Corruption, collusion, facionist behavior at its best. Beware citizens. After waiting for at least a reply regarding my review, I've heard nothing, nor as of yet, have I been targeted. I would appreciate a response from the accused, one way or another. Obviously, you are not an honest officer and that you overstepped your boundaries and authority.
I can't say enough GREAT things about the Manheim Borough Police Department Officers! I personally have been helped many times and was treated with dignity and respect on each and every occasion!! Those of you that have had issues or whatever you want to call it, remember ONE THING...if you want RESPECT, learn to start GIVING it! I have never once been disrespected by ANY Police Officer I'm not just talking about Manheim Boro however, I've NEVER disrespected ANY officer in my life. Common sense 101. Thank each and everyone of you for all that you do to keep us safe!! I appreciate it
I got pulled over by Officer Starr on a motorcycle, I had been driving through town, did not try to run or anything and he pulled up beside me with lights and sirens on and pushed me into the curb! He then proceeded to take my keys and wallet without my consent! Then after it was over he almost drove off without giving me my keys back, I had to yell from my bike since he already had gotten into his car to leave! I was less then impressed with his attitude and lack of professionalism!!
Cant call back on reports, cant make any effort to help do anything Ive ever called about. Had my tired slashed, and texts from the person who did it, no charges pressed. Had my mirror smashed at the highschool parking lot, still nothing. Also, ive owned a red honda del sol for a year as of January and have been pulled over about 8 times, and followed more than double that for countless items, consisting of window tint to "your car made a funny noise". Everytime they see the del, they turn around and follow me, to the point where ive finally invested in dash cameras so i can record what they do. One followed me the whole way to my house. I turned into the one parking lot to turn around and run back to a family members house for my bag of coffee, the officer flew into the parking lot and shut his head lights off thinking i didnt see him. My girlfriend was with and witnessed it too, and i stopped till he turned the lights back on and pulled up to me. I then proceeded to the house where he stopped without the berries and cherries on to look at me and the car and then drive off. Manheim Borough police is by far the worst police force I have ever delt with.
I recently visited the office of the Manheim borough police. I went hoping to express some concerns and also to get some clarification about how a misunderstanding was addressed by members of the towns force. My hopes for a respectful, open dialogue were very quickly squelched by the police chief Joseph Stauffer’s abrasive, rude, unapologetic, and condescending demeanor. In this day and age, with the negative vail that surrounds police, I would assume that authorities would strive to set better examples and work to de-stigmatize themselves. My experience with the Chief Stauffer was quite the contrary. I left feeling angry, belittled, and most of all sad for the actual borough residents that have the misfortune of having him oversee very poorly, I imagine a fundamental sect of their community.
I was fortunate enough to meet two officers from this station last night 8/17/17. They were responding to an emergency call for my 2 yr old who was having a seizure. They quickly helped us through the horrible experience and I am grateful for their service. Alongside them were various other emergency response teams but these guys were on scene first and it was a great relief to see them. Thank you for this. While I'm from out of town and cannot make a huge difference locally, I will make an effort to support remotely. I can only hope the locals do the same for this team of professionals. Help them help us/you.
I can't remember the name of the officer who helped us, but he was a really common sense guy. My big truck ran out of fuel on 72. He let me quickly take care of it myself without a nasty big tow bill.
A big salute to patrolman ryan Goss!!! for always helping and checking on my in laws jim and jean miller his neighbor he even cleaned up mom and dads driveway when we had the storm last Tuesday.and me and my husband really appreciate you stopped by to mom and dads house when you saw the ambulance this morning and made sure everything is taking care of.mr james and jean Miller would like to show their gratitude for all you do!‍‍‍god bless and more power to you and the whole manheim police department!
Called for a non-emergency related issue. Was told I was having an officer dispatched from in the area. Over 2 hours of waiting, and nobody shows up. Glad it wasn't an emergency. Such a joke of a "police force"
