A bit behind in terms of customer/public service, and infrastructure, compared to other city halls I've seen. Easy to get lost and you can't get easy instructions to do what you need to do. Staff are not very helpful and some are outright rude. First time in many years that I had to wait for 3 hrs to complete a transaction. The system is just so backwards.
I came here to get my cousin's LCR and it's really crowded it's better to be early to get home early thankfully there's a mini Park and the SM Manila is right beside it so you can hang out somewhere while waiting
The staff in the place is accommodating and approachable. One can easily ask them for questions. Also, they're very respectful and hard working
Very unprofessional. Employees smoking in the hallways. Trash all around the place. No free parking, only for government employees and people that the parking person knows. Try to get a permit, concerned government employees will vacuum money from you, ask for under the table payments, ask for ridiculous fees without receipts just to have your document or permit processed. Epitome of corruption, from the traffic bureau all the way up to the permits and everything.
A good place to go to walk around with your family and friends. The place itself is historical so if you love history I'm sure you'll love this place. This place is completely different now compare to previous years. Now it's well maintained, clean, no unpleasant smell, and perfect for picture takings Instagramable. But be cautious in your surrounding even though it is look safe and there's presence of police, pick pockets still roam this area.
The newly renovated areas circling around the Manila City Hall are really great compared to what it was before. There is now a park with FREE COMFORT ROOM or CR and the new design of the underpass with several CCTVs is a good step of budget allocation from former Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso and this needs to be maintained by the current City Mayor Maria Sheilah "Honey" Honrado Lacuna–Pangan. This is a big challenge for the current Mayor since these are not her projects. I just hope she can further uplift the city of Manila.
Everyone has to wait outside, and all the acs are blowing the hot air just outside the door. Literal sweat bath.
The Manila City Hall is a government building constructed during the Philippine Commonwealth Period, completed in 1941. Heavily damaged during the Battle of Manila in February to March of 1945, it was reconstructed using funds from the Philippine Rehabilitation Act of 1946. It continues to serve as the governmental hub of the city of Manila and has withstood the vagaries of time.
Corrupt traffic policemen often make trouble for citizens. Every time a vehicle is stopped at an intersection, the police will secretly collect a tip of 500 to 3000. Full of corruption. Obviously there is a problem with traffic planning and instructions, and the problem is not resolved, it will become a reason for the police to corrupt. Everyone is scared. .
Broken system. Why do I have to go here just to pay a violation? Their online app doesn't even work and you have to wait in line just to pay a fine. What a huge waste of time.
