My elderly-mother has been at this facility a number of times, and all of the departments are always thankfully extremely helpful to both my mother and myself. This includes administration, clinical, therapy, activities, kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance. The administrator, Miss Cindy, is so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She’s very approachable regarding all important concerns I’ve brought to her professional attention, which I greatly appreciate. The admissions-director, Margaret, and the business-manager, Caroline, are both extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and skillful within their respective professional duties. Both of these ladies meticulously assist residents and their families regarding placement for both short-term and long-term, for private-payment rates, and for public-payment rates. The social-worker, Martin, has been instrumental with giving me an abundance of necessary health-care information for my elderly-mother, regarding both Medicare and Medicaid. Any requests I make on my beloved mother’s behalf are always honored a.s.a.p., which I greatly appreciate. The reception-ladies at the front desk are truly wonderfully welcoming to all incoming and outgoing residents and visitors. All of the R.N.’s who’ve professionally treated my mother are excellent, including the Director of Nursing, and the following nurses: Dhaval, Violet, Denisa, Nicky, Rayanne, Lauren, and Ivy. I’d like to truly commend Nurse-Dhaval for his truly outstanding demeanor, as he’s been extremely helpful, especially during his previous experience as a designated nursing unit-manager. The specific C.N.A.’s which have been currently super-helpful are Jenny, Rina, Ken, Jackie, Suleima, and Tracy. I truly understand that families want the best care for their loved-ones at facilities, but please understand that it can’t be individualized care, simply because these facilities aren’t structured as such, just like with child-care facilities. The CNA’s must share their caregiving time among the multiple residents.
I sent my father there for treatment. He ended up getting worse there so we took him out. The lack of compassion and care from there nurse staff is sick! They are money driven and had a lot of non staff workers there! Be careful with your family and places like this!
I was extremely happy with the facility. The staff, every single one of them were so kind, caring and friendly. My mother was well looked after and I felt very comfortable leaving her there under their care. I was impressed by the various types of therapy my mother received at ProMedica.
My mother stayed here in January 2023. She got Covid and scabies while recovery from surgery on her leg.
The facility took excellent care of my wife following surgery. The nurses, CNAs, and staff were superb. I would like to thank everyone by name. In the interest of brevity, Lauren went above and beyond to ensure that my wife was comfortable. Marzena, the wound nurse, also went far above and beyond to patiently teach me how to clean and dress my wife's wound. Ivy was extremely helpful. Thank you all.
During Covid its difficult to write a review. I realize they just started visiting hours this last week with a limit of 30 minutes once a week. They are pretty strict with this rule. My mother has been there 12 days. From what I see its spacious and clean. From those I have spoken with, they all seem very nice. As far as my mothers care, she is almost 95, and the only complaint she has is no one comes when she hits the call button and if they do, it takes a very long time. That is disappointing to keep hearing. For her care, when when entered ManorCare, she was very weak and unable to walk. I am happy to say she has greatly improved. She adores Casey her physical therapist, he has done a good job with her in which I am grateful.
The change in my mother's physicality and mental state since coming to Promedica Elk Grove is nothing short of amazing. Her knees gave out on her and she has been here for a month prepping for her first surgery...I think she was depressed and the Covid isolation certainly didn't help matters. The PT's and OT's have been amazing-patient, and know when to push her just a little bit more. And the nurses/aides, etc-what a job they do. It can't be easy, and my guess is they don't get a whole lot of appreciation. They have mine and my families' for sure!!! I have never seen such dedication. Special thanks to Dhaval for putting up with my calls every day and making sure all tests and paperwork got to where it needed to go! Social workers are great as well, and kept us updated on those Meidcare items/rules, etc. True advocates!! My mother will be back after both surgeries for her full rehab and thanks to Promedica, we expect a full recovery and return back to Mom's normal and active life!! The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is the center itself is outdated a bit but they are going to upgrade it. I'd also much prefer all private rooms, that is a BIGGIE.
I was there for a little more that a week for my surgery recovery last month Thank you to all the nurses and all the pcts that helped with my fast recovery. Sheri, Connie, Maria, Alexandra Also I want to thanks to the excellent cleaning group for keeping the place sparkling clean Sonia Rodriguez and her group To the physical therapy group thanks so much for your tips to moved myself around without hurt my wounds. Special thanks to Megan and Casey for the therapy and tip's provided I will be using them forever. Thank you to the nutritionist group to keep up with my special diet. To all that personal that make my staying much easy and help me with all My needs, thank you soon much. Elena Bennett Glendale heights IL
I actually work at Promedica’s in Elk Grove and I think the administration there has made some great changes since I have been working there. I really like how they care about their staff and the patients there. I LOVE BEING APART OF THEM TEAM AND I DO MEAN TEAM !!!! Our team makes the dream work for real!!!!Go Promedica’s keep helping people get better and caring for people!!!
Still waiting on a call from the Administrator. The name of this facility has changed multiple times in just the last 2.5 years. Do not trust their reviews.
