Sad. What started out as a lovely facility.. slowly turned negative. My family member was there about a year before we moved her. I won't go into much detail about why.. but it was for safety and also getting the assistance she needed and was lacking severely. I'll keep it simple. And I will ALSO say SOME of the staff in Memory Care were absolutely fantastic. Again.. I'll leave it at that. However upon move out we were told something completely different with a partial month of residency than the face to face meeting we had during move in paperwork. Our family member came to a verbal in person agreement to pay 15 full days.. even though the resident was leaving a week before that.. for the month. This AGAIN.. Was agreed upon! Our family member handed a check to a male administrator no need for names and that was a wrap. Until a month later they're chasing us for payment. When we contacted that same administrator he "lost/misplaced" the check for thousands of dollars. He had no idea where he put it he told us. So we had to pay a stop fee for the lost check and NOW the entire amount to the facility. It cost US more money, aggravation AND now a lost signed check is somewhere out there with full bank account numbers on it! All because somebody we trusted "misplaced" a personal check handed DIRECTLY to him. Mind you.. our monthly bill was handed in person to the desk EVERY SINGLE MONTH.. NO DIFFERENT.. for a YEAR! But now the last one disappears and we're stuck owing DOUBLE the agreed upon amount. NOT TO MENTION... REPLACEMENT check was cashed and cleared almost 2 weeks ago. Yet SURPISE!!! More threatening billing at our home THIS afternoon that we haven't paid them.. And the resident moved out BEGINNING OF JUNE!.. it's now mid August!!! Sadly our family member did pass away and add this ridiculousness to everything.. That was ENOUGH for us. If you care about your family members safety as WELL as stimulating their mental health with activities etc .. you may want to reconsider. NONE of that will be here. If we had to do it all over again, we would have NEVER set foot in this place. DO YOUR RESEARCH! And I AM in the Healthcare field so i know how things are suppose to be.. I have 20+ years of knowledge and experience. Oh.. and lastly, be carful with fall risks. Our family member cracked her head TWICE.. she fell LITERALLY at LEAST once a week. Call bells don't work. Go on.. try it. The girls SPECIFICALLY SAID they don't wear the pagers and the call bells don't work. We pulled bedroom and bathroom call bell at EVERY SINGLE VISIT.. and we were there 5+ times a week.. Never once worked or responded to. They also lock wheelchairs and take away room keys from residents this PERSONALLY happened to US.. which are BOTH considered restraints and is a violation in healthcare as well as a residents RIGHTS! On the very last occasion they left a floor bed in the up position and never pulled out the ordered fall mats. THAT was enough for us when the fall occurred.. especially when we were never contacted during THAT fall yet they documented they DID call us. NO THEY DID NOT which is false documentation. So we requested that she go to the hospital. Suprise.. ALSO A BROKEN ARM IN ADDITION TO A SPLIT OPEN EYE!!!! Oh.. and don't ask for any documentation. One person said everything's in the computer so there's no access for her. Then another staff member brings us a copy of a WRITTEN incident report AFTER we spoke to the administrator.. with holes punched CLEARLY for a paper chart.. and only the 1st page. 2nd was missing. So they didn't even give us everything we requested post fall and we were POA's WITH THAT RIGHT. If you love your loved one.. look elsewhere. We ended up finding the most amazing place for her final days.
I wont of even gave it 1 star!! I would not recommend this place to anyone! My grandfather was in this place for 2 weeks and on the day we come to pick him up. A stna worker said as we walked him out his room to DONT COME BACK! The shock on my face because I cant belive what I had just heard. Then as I proceeded down the hallway an old man in a wheel chair had cut his arm open. And a nurse said who cut there arm and when she seen then old man. Her response was of course it's him!!
Great place! Staff are for the most part great the treat you very good. The food could use some help and the kitchen staff but other than that I was very pleased with this place. I highly recommend it. I even had a nurse with my name and the first initial if my last name was hers as well. If I ever need to get rehab again I'd definitely pick manor Care.
My Mom came there for rehabilitation after a bout of Pneumonia and serious hemorrhoid bleeding. She needed a few other things taken care of like, new glasses and dentures and this is being taken care of in house at the facility. Mom loves it there and is well pleased with the PT/OT staff. There are many activities she enjoys also. She is happy, therefore I am happy. Excellent facility, I highly recommend it.
I am not Gail...I am her son....the facility looks nice and is clean, however based on my mom's care so far it is understaffed and there have been an abundance of problems, that even after two family meetings, haven't really been resolved. I have called three separate times and either left messages or asked for the unit manager to call me back. I never received any calls back. Additionally I left a message with a Social Worker and a week later received a call back after I left another message for the Director of Social Services. I just wanted to know if my mom's discharge date was extended with the insurance. I left a message today 5/12/2017 with the unit manager. We'll see how long it takes her to call me back. My mom missed a doctor's appt. on 5/10 and she should have had follow up appointments scheduled so I need an explanation. The communication is horrible. She's been there since 2/14/2017. I am currently searching for another facility to move her to so she can continue her recovery. Lester
This long term care facility is really nice. The nurses and all the staff working there are some of the nicest people I’ve worked with. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them

Where do I start? My grandmother has been in Manor Care for several months. I am BEYOND upset and DISAPPOINTED in the lack of care she has received. I have witnessed her waiting over 45 minutes for a nurse to respond after she has repeatedly pushed her assistance button for pain medication. We have witnessed her medicine being brought to her during dinner and because she wanted to finish her dinner the nurse made a smart remark and threw the medication in the garbage. My grandma is 93 and is unable to put weight on her legs due to deterioration in her knees ... I called a nurse to help me get my Grandma in bed comfortably before I left ... after several horrible attempts by the nurse .. I put my Grandma to bed after I repeatedly told her she could not stand. My Grandma has fallen out of her bed 2 times in the past week. On July 21 she fell at 11:30 pm and my family was NOT contacted until the next morning after she was sent to Metro Hospital for head trauma .. she ended up with a broken nose and bruises that I hope no one ever has to endure. She had repeatedly pushed her button, again, and her roommate had to frantically push her button as well. On July 28 she fell AGAIN. This time was also sent to Metro hospital. She suffered internal stitches as well as 12 stitches on the top of her head. After being at the hospital, she was supposed to be going back to Manor Care. At 3:30 am we received a call from Metro making sure someone was going to be at her home when they dropped her off. Thank GOD we received a call ... she doesn't live in her residence anymore!!! She is at Manor Care!!!! This is just a little bit of what we have experienced. I am so disgusted ... and VERY UPSET ...
This place has kept me from seeing my mother since march and they call me today Nov 5th 2020 and ask me if i will come get her and take her to her doctor's appointment because they are short on staff ! Go to hell ! My mom has dementia and we was kept from seeing her for almost a year.. we can see her now during the "code red covid scare" now that it benefits you guys right ? Like i said.. go to hell !
My grandma has been in this facility for 11 days now. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed in the care she has received. She has fallen 3 times in these 11 days. Has been on the ground for 20+ minutes waiting for help. When we have pushed the call button for assistance nobody comes or acknowledges it for 30 minutes. When she has asked for help to the restroom they have on multiple occasions told her they were busy and would be right back, 20 minutes later after she has soiled herself they show up. She has sat in a wet brief for hours. This is just completely unacceptable. At our first chance we are pulling her from this facility.
