I was there for 90 days with 2 rods from collar bone to tail bone. They are or were the BEST REHAP IS DELAWARE! You want to talk about worst rehap in Delaware, # 1 is ARBORS lack of compassion and very dirty, I was there, horrible, only 40 min day therapy. I had to be transfer to Manor Care, and got 4 hrs therapy Mon-Fri. 2 hrs morning & 2 hrs afternoon . And I was no spring chicken having those rods put along side of my spine..I was 62 yrs old. And of course No facility can please every person 100%.. most of times it is not facility, but the patient. There are pleasant patients and there are those few, who are real pain in the A-s! I know this as have one in our extended family, definitely no pleasing him unfortunately. He gave drs, hospitals, Very hard times. I really felt for them and his wife.
My mother was there and had ended up back in hospital after two days home because of injury to her right arm and lab work was all off. They found that she was malnourished because she wasn't given alot of food there. The only positive thing about this place is the nursing assistants. The rest of the staff wasn't too friendly or acted like you were incompetent. Do not recommend anyone this place at all
I just felt compelled to write about the care my friends father is receiving while in your facility. From what she has told me the staff goes above and beyond her expectations. Her father is happy with the care he is receiving from the staff and you can just tell how much the staff cares for their patients . Your facility is clean and bright which also makes the patient feel better as well as their interactions with the patients family members. I just wish and hope that when the time comes that my family and I can find a place to care for our father the way you care for her father.
I have not personally used this facility but I am posting my review on behalf of my friend who's grandfather is in the facility. According to her experience, the facility and staff members caring for her grandfather are kind, caring professionals who take wonderful care of her grandfather. I felt compelled to leave a review because caring for elderly is one of the most important jobs in the world, and when that care is experienced in a way that leaves the elderly with dignity, it really is a life changing experience.
I have visited this facility at different times, with different residents pre-covid. This facility is clean, the employees are amazing. They provide excellent care to the residents, and great service to their families. You do not have to announce your arrival prior to coming to this facility. A former resident that required temporary skilled care, praised the staff and was grateful to be in this facility. Overall this is the resounding sentiment, I have heard from my friends who have had loved ones here. If you are seeking excellent skilled care for your loved one, I highly recommend this facility.
I left the food for a patient with the front desk. The front desk black lady ate the food and didn’t give to the customer. This is why I got violations. I hope whoever’s lying will get admitted in a nasty hospital again
Everyone here has been nothing but nice to me and my father during his 30 day stay. Dottie, Holly and Troy have communicated with my family every step of the way, and when there was a small issue with his laundry Troy was on it and had it solved within 15 minutes of my call. My father has stayed at a few rehabs over the years and I found this one to be the best so far
I hate to give any health care facility one star, especially when they are caring for my Nana, who is recovering from Covid. I appreciate all the efforts of the nursing staff who have helped her regain her strength and ability to walk. However, the experience my family and I have had in trying to get through to my Nana's phone line has been horrendous. Not one person in my family of 10-15 people was able to get through to wish my Nana a Merry Christmas this year. So she sat the entire day alone thinking we all did not care to speak with her. It is heartbreaking to think she, and maybe others, went through this. To be clear, I come from a family of healthcare workers, and I can sympathize with the level of burn out they may be experiencing. But perhaps some sort of call scheduling may have been helpful and mitigated the holiday call influx?
Did I have to experience time at this residence, no. But my grandmom did. The times I visited her, I have to say this staff is by far one of a kind. My grandmother only didn’t complain but she had nothing but good things to say about the nurses. From the greeting staff to the nurses I have to say this site is well ran and top notch. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a place your love ones will be pleased to call home. They are very family oriented.
My grandmother Martha Collins has been in there quite a while and will be until she decides she's ready to go home with the Lord or he calls for her. And I must say, that Manor Care is an awesome nursing facility to send your loved one. They do take good care of everyone. I call all the time and check in on her and the nurses has no problem updating me. I greatly appreciate Manor Care and its employees. They are all great. Thank you
