Manthano Christian College brings glory to God by assisting churches to equip believers to live and serve based on the Word of God.
Philosophy of Education
The main focus is on education, not indoctrination. MCC desires to teach people to think so that they can decide for themselves using critical thinking skills. MCC seeks to impart cognitive processes, hermeneutical principles, problem solving steps, computer-assisted research skills so the student develops personal convictions about the important biblical and theological issues of the Christian life. We want them to know the methods of study so they can provide sound answers to the changing questions of our world. Classes are oriented towards the development of skills. We want a student to learn to read and write critically, and give oral presentations throughout the curriculum. MCC will challenge students to think, write and communicate with other classmates. We emphasize teaching, not preaching; discussion, not lecture; dialogue, not monologue. MCC seeks to employ seminars, interactive learning groups, panel discussions, small groups and research projects. Classroom interaction is particularly beneficial because of the cultural and professional diversity of student groups. There must be a high degree of integration between theory and practice throughout each course.
