We to Mao’s Hair Salon today for the first time ever and I honestly really liked it. Everyone is so sweet, cordial and friendly. I felt welcomed. I was lucky to have Jose cut and style my very fine hair, because he is a truly gifted and highly skilled Stylist! I will be back again and again. Keep up the great work Mao’s Team. Bravo! Jose gave my very picky 13year old happy with his haircut. To have a teen boy happy with mom’s decision on a new stylist/barber is a huge WIN!!

Alexis cuts my husband's hair and beard. Alexis does a great job and the lady who answers the phone is always very nice.

I have been taking my daughter to get her hair cut here for 10 years. Jose does an amazing job. He is very detailed and takes his time to do things right. My daughter has very curly hair and he is extra cautious for that reason.

John is great, he explains everything in detail and did an amazing job. Paulina is very sweet and does great lashes, look forward to being their new customer.

I have going to john for the past year, I had a new stylist attempt to dye my hair and it was a complete disaster. I walked in there and john made me the blond that I wanted in one try. The salon is clean and well kept and they also offer refreshments ; coffee, water, hot tea. The service is just great they also do great mani and pedicure. Honestly I just couldn't be more satisfied.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. went for a basic simple blow-out , which doesn't take much skill/experience. It was a Friday night and it was the only salon not packed. After my hair was washed, the hairstylist that was available started pouring product on my head and said it was good for blow-outs to last... ok, didn't think much of it. The blow out then begins with constant burning and pulling... and yes, I know this always tends to happen, but maybe once or twice , not throughout the whole session. Finally, after the slowest, sloth-like 2hour!! Blow out, he turns me to the mirror and I immediately see that the roots of my hair are OILY AS CAN BE! as if my hair had gone with no wash for 2 weeks. Like I was able to use the oil on my head to fry an Egg. I then realized he POURED keratin oil for rough texture hair on my light texture hair. Which even on rough hair, the product should be distributed from the hands combed onto the hair. The ends of my hair, poofy like an 80s hair doo. It was horrible. Looked terrible. I took the loss of time and money. At the time I was tired, wasn't in the mood to debate the service so I paid, left a 3$ tip for pity of that mans future if he can't even blow out properly. Would definitely notify friends to stay away from there/him Dominican man maybe, forgot his name. Went home, washed my hair. Had to lather a good 5 times. Blew it out my damn self. Came out great.

It's Monica. I love, love John and have been going to get my hair done with him for many years. I go where ever he goes and that says tons.
