Very relaxing. Short, easy walk, places to stop and sit if needed. Nice boardwalk on the water to view wildlife in the water. Unfortunately, dogs are allowed on this trail. Enjoy your walk.
You don't have to leave the city to find a country getaway. A nice variety of trails and a boardwalk across the pond to get up close with nature. The low lying shaded areas will require bug spray. The trails are not that long so it is a good place to bring younger children. Trails are not paved so if you bring a stroller make sure it's sturdy. Lots of benches along the trail to rest and take in the scenery. Bring a camera because there's lots to take in.
Quiet, beautiful little piece of nature tucked away in Maplewood. So sad to hear that the building itself is closed and will no longer be staffed due to financial struggles but the trail is still a nice walk. Fun little kids area and the boardwalk across the pond is nice too. Wish I could bring my dog along but understand why I can't. I do recommend locking the car and not leaving valuables inside when walking as the parking lot is very secluded.
Great short walk to find beautiful nature scenery hidden right in the city. Good location, clean trails, and felt safe.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Trail was a nice walk with views of the water. Stroller friendly, but bumpy and narrow. Big long bridge that is stable. Nature center has a variety of things for kids to play and see. We loved the outdoor area especially the tepee sticks.
This place is great a nice reserve to take the family to see nature at its best
I've taken lots of nature pictures here, and even senior pictures for a coworkers daughter, and this location will always be one of my favorites for photographyVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
We have been several times, in all weather condition and it’s always a wonderful experience. It’s conveniently located and plenty of parking on all sides. I have noticed though that in the warmer temps a lot of teenagers hang out in on the trails and smoke-and they act like you’re in the way when you’re trying to walk the trails....it’s kind of annoying
