Beautiful park in the Maplewood Historic District in Rochester. There is a beautiful rose garden, a statue in honor of Fredrick Douglass, beautiful open green spaces, trails, and Genesee lower falls. Easy walk on the Genesee Riverwalk trail to lower falls. The seat of forgetting and remembering is a must-see!
Beautiful rose garden to visit when summer rolls around. Very easy to access and free. I would recommend not wearing sandals as you may be walking through the grass.
Beautiful sights and when me and my family went it was just endless stunning views, would definitely recommend for a day out, but watch out for loose or missing segments of railing if you do have young ones around!
One of the most beautiful natural scenic trails in the Rochester NY area. Maple Wood Rose park is perfectly positioned on the Genesee River Gorge with expansive views of the driving park bridge and the lower gorge area you can see what hundreds of thousands of years of natural erosion have carved perfectly in the natural sediment to paint picture-perfect scenes that never cease to take your breath away.
Incredible full immersion roses the scent alone was heavenly
Very nice place to explore and see something nice amidst the surrounding city. Great for some exercise as well
Nice ! Lov ed the park pretty with all the falling leaves in color.Even collected some rose petals before the frost hits...Great place to visit and walk about
The park is is Lush an especially beautiful and comfortable in the summertime. I live in Arizona but most of my family is in Upstate New York so I always make a trip to hike the trail over to the false and advise any visitors to Rochester to do the same
This place is iffy. The parking lot is usually packed with people just chilling smoking there weed ir whatever. And most days there a group of dirt bike and fours wheeler guys riding all over and doing wheelies in the parking lot. But the trail that takes you to the river and waterfall is nice. Just stay on pathways cuz if not the woods is full of garbage and if seen drug needles. People are always fishing at the river and if you follow the path by the river going toward the falls there's qn amazing cave the has a whole in the middle that goes up to see the sky and it drops salt down over this Boulder in the middle. It's beautiful. So depending on what there for can be a good or bad experience
Didn't see rest rooms available
