I believe it is possible to train the brain through any physical exercise when the approach is cognitive and uses conscious thought to create genuine understanding of exercise. Using this method, we begin to take control of the body, so we know how our body feels and what its limits are. Based on this principle, my teaching method relies on building blocks, a step by step approach which uses images to guide the students into a new thinking process of programming the mind and the body, and helping them experience learning as a "field trip in brain".
My goal is to create the right blend of exercises and intensity so everybody can succeed and progress at their own level. By evaluating each person individually, analyzing their specific physical skills and limits, I build a tailored exercise program that is geared towards their personal needs and goals. The movements create muscle control which can be applied in our daily activities. The workout becomes a lifelong experience, a fabulous field trip in brain. In our society little value is placed on whole person, meaning some people use their minds to become aware of their bodies, while others prefer body movement to words. The true fitness is a balance of the mind, body and the brain power. I shape my sessions to help develop my clients' emotional and physical health through self-esteem and, in group settings, through teamwork. These personalized and progressive workouts are aimed at promoting health and fitness for life, from the inside out.
