Marathon Park Prep, is 13.1-mile half-marathon in Ashland MA, Saturday 3/18/17 & is tough test for runners training for 'Boston'.
We are pleased to announce a 13.1-mile prep race for “Boston” to be presented at Marathon Park in Ashland MA on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., just five weeks before the marathon.
This race, formerly The Half of Quincy, is part of the ongoing effort to promote Ashland’s Marathon Park, the original starting line of the Boston Marathon in 1897, as the cradle of American road racing and an iconic location of historical import in distance running.
This effort also continues the collaboration between Squanto Productions and the Ashland Sporting Association and the race will be contested over the course established for the Ashland Half-Marathon & 5K.
Many details remain under development but please know that this race will be a premier test for all those ready to challenge themselves on Patriots’ Day.
We expect runners from all over to visit (or revisit) Ashland, so sign up today to test your mettle against our hills as well as many prime competitors.
