***Updated Jan 13, 2022. I received a letter today from The Marco Corporation's Law Firm threatening to sue us be for 50k if I did not remove this review. I take this very seriously as I have a right to tell the truth about my experience at The Marco Corporation. As anyone can tell from my other reviews, I'm not a 'troll' nor do I seek 'vengeance' through reviews. I only hope to prevent others from experiencing the losses and aggravation we did. I wish I had been forewarned. I think this action by the Marco Corporation speaks volumes. They will use legal intimidation to resolve customer satisfaction issues rather than have done the appropriate thing in the first place to make it right for the customer. As a company, I spent tens of thousands of dollars to make up for poor customer service for my customers, although it was Marco's mistakes that created them. I was accountable to my customers, but it appears Marco Corp does not hold the same values. *** I had great hopes that Marco would be the ideal 3PL partner. A brand can succeed or fail based on its 3PL. I went through due diligence to ensure they would be a good partner and was very impressed with the sales person and the facility, at first. Moving warehouses is no small task and is a major financial decision. It takes months of hard work to re-stabilize a company with the thousands of moving parts it takes to onboard into a new warehouse. Marco was a complete failure and exceedingly stressful to deal with. They were not transparent. They promised us huge savings on freight due to volume efficiencies but we we in fact paying up to 200% more for freight than we should have. Marco was getting commissioned by UPS but did not disclose this. They failed to correctly handle our customs' paperwork and for a full year. As a result, we were paying for returns, custom's holds, inspections, and excess fees due to their errors. We lost many wholesale accounts due to delays of sometimes a couple of months for goods due to holds, returns, and reships. They tried to lay the blame on UPS, but it was absolutely Marco's fault and I did verify this. Over time, their service degraded from 2-4 days turn-around to over 3 weeks at time. I found out from an insider they would often pull our team off the line and move them to a high-volume brand when short of labour, leaving us to deal with the customer issues that resulted from long delays. Employee turn-over is high, and I expect that is much of the problem. In the end, they held our inventory ransom. The reason I use the word 'ransom' is that my records showed they had much less inventory than they quoted us to move, and refused to allow me to verify it in person due to 'COVID.' They would not release the inventory unless I agreed to their price. I would expect if we were to subpoena their Visitors Log, we would find out that they indeed had non Marco employees in the building during that time, and this was just a tactic. They quoted $11,500 to shrink wrap and prepare 211.5 pallets. Most of our product was on pallets. Our current 3PL charges $7.50 per pallet to prep, as do most of their competitors. When we moved, we ended up only having 49 pallets left but they would not return our money for the misquote. I think the miscalculation of pallets speaks to their inability to control inventory. A skill that should be fundamental to a 3 PL. In short, I would sooner shut down my company than deal with Marco again. They cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost customers, increased payroll due to customer service issues, product damages and miscounts, and excess fees. Worse, we had to move near peak season due to their massive decline in service which was very expensive and ruined our Q4. Buyer beware. We moved to SDR in Concord, Ontario. They are far more sophisticated and orders are moving within 24-48 hours max. Most of our B2C orders move same day.
I use to work at Marco's on Henry street I will be there for 9 hours before my start my day of work they make me work like there home guys
Worst Shipper Ever, they take all day to load.
Ive been trying for hrs to get thru to someone have a friend that works there in the Brantford warehouse her mother was Rushed to the ER and no picks up the phone or is there a number for the workers to be reached in such a case
