The mission of the Margate City Public Library is to promote the development of independent, self-confident, literate citizens. The library shall provide an intellectual environment consisting of various print and non-print materials. The library will provide a wide range of programs and technology services to support life long learning throughout the Margate community.

Margaret's library is one of the great assets of our City. The staff is excellent. The facilities are modern and comfortable and well maintained. All in all five-star.
This library has so many quality resources and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff! They always seem to have the latest books, movies, and information! This is my go-to library at the shore. Also. when I get my books, I am a few steps from the beach - what a view!

Everyone there is very kind and helpful. Just wish they had more of a children’s section. Otherwise decent library with great movie selection, especially indie and rare foreign films!
Keep an eye on your bag if you take it with you to Margate's Public Library. Some very unsavory characters from surrounding communities have been drawn to the library by unlimited computer access. These characters are NOT there either to check out books or to make inquiries at a reference desk. . . . A word to the wise should suffice.
Me and my family came here for the first time while on vacation and absolutely loved it! There is a great selection of books as well as magazines and movies. Can't wait to go back
Got a jacuzzi room and there was no hot water ,and it wouldn't get hot .not.in the shower sink or jacuzzi. Very disappointed
The copying/ printing attendant was super rude, I don't think he knew how to work the machine. Called for help and they couldn't do it, honestly think he just don't want to be bothered.
That was the best library I’ve ever been to. I haven’t been there since 2017. Loved it so much
