Marguerite's Cakes, which is located in Slidell, Louisiana on the north shore of New Orleans, Louisiana, has been baking quality products for over 30 years.Marguerite started making cakes from scratch in the kitchen of her home in 1978. In the early 80's, she was the first baker to put apple filling in her king cakes. Then added cream cheese and the rest is history!

Her business grew rapidly by word of mouth. She had to open her first bakery in Kenner, Louisiana. She quickly outgrew that location and moved to Slidell, Louisiana where she is at present.Her great customer service, friendly atmosphere, and quality products have caused her business to grow tremendously. Marguerite uses only the finest ingredients in her cakes, pies and pastries. Her quality products stand apart from the rest.Marguerite specializes in King Cakes, Roll Fondant Wedding Cakes, 3D Cakes, Cookies, Doberge Cakes, Special Occasion Cakes, Cookie Cakes, Pies, Cheesecakes, Whip Cream Cakes, Fondant and many more.

We were so incredibly happy and thankful to have Mrs. Marguerite's bakery make our wedding cake and groom's cake for our wedding!! First of all, the cake tasting was so fun and all of the cake flavors were absolutely delicious - it was hard to choose from. Their portfolio and their capability to make your cake vision a reality is beyond belief! They were patient with us and helped us figure out the cake design that we wanted. Also, they exactly matched what we wanted for the grooms cake and wedding cake! I worked with Brandy who was so kind and patient and made the whole experience fantastic. Everyone loved the decor of the cake and the taste as well! 10/10 would recommend to any bride!
Flew all the way from Seattle, Washington to get married @ The Louisiana Castle. They referred us to this Cake Place. When I tell you, they blew this Cake out of the water! We had a Beauty & The Beast themed wedding and a few concepts of what we wanted our cake to look like. The attention to detail was above & beyond. When we went for our cake tasting everyone was so friendly which they had been over the phone as well. The lady who owns the bakery has over 50years of experience. Our cake was better than we could have ever even imagined. Thank you Marguerite's for our dream wedding cake.
This place is the best! Very friendly people and great customer service. I always get my kids’ and families birthday cakes from here the wedding cake flavor and they are sooo good! Also if you like strawberry, their strawberry cupcakes are to die for!!! My son doesn’t even usually like strawberry flavor and is picky and he loves them!!! Nothing I have ever gotten has ever been dried out and it is always fresh and delicious!
We just went to Ms. Marguerite's for our wedding cake tasting, and we were both just amazed by the quality and taste of the cakes! We met with Ms. Marguerite herself and she is such a wonderful lady. She explained everything to the detail and was able to help us with the vision that we had for the cake. Also, she was able to advise us for which size cakes would be good for the amount of people we were going to have. The taste of the cakes were in one word "Awesome!!". My fiance is not a big fan of overly sweet candies/cakes/desserts and can handle only a little bit at a time, but with these cakes, she had no problems what so ever. The cakes melt in your mouth and you can taste every single aspect of the flavors! If you're looking for a wedding cake in the Slidell area. We highly recommend checking out Ms. Marguerite's!!
My mom raved about how great the king cakes were at Margeurite's king cakes so she shipped one to us in Nashville at a price of $50+. The item arrived via FedEx inside a box with absolutely no padding or material to prevent the cake from sliding around during shipping. The cake was in horrendous condition, smashed to one side of the box, melted icing, etc.. pics attached My mom sent an email to Marguerites over a week ago now with no response whatsoever. Very poor customer service....I wouldn't recommend ordering from this place if you need your king cake shipped. Terrible.
Marguerite’s Cakes saved our wedding day! The bakery we originally chose closed down and the Marguerite’s team eased all of our stress. They made our beautiful cakes using so much artistry. The magnolias on the wedding cake were hand made by Brandi and absolutely stunning—exactly what I envisioned and was hoping for! The cakes tasted even better than they looked and we were so pleased to work with everyone Marguerite’s Cakes! The wedding cake layers we chose were Italian crème, red velvet, and almond. They were incredible and our guests were raving about each layer! The grooms cake was gluten free chocolate and our guests could not even tell! Very moist and flat out delicious!
If you want a beautiful wedding cake, this is the place. They have done two wedding cakes for my family and they were delicious. They were very moist, the icing is not too sweet, and the filling is wonderful. The guy who delivered the cake, Larry was so nice and kind and very friendly. We love Marguerite's because they do great work here!
This establishment was clean & welcoming, upon arrive, greeted by attendant behind counter- PROFESSIONAL, WELL MANNERED, FRIENDLY. . THE PRICES WERE FAIR AND REASONABLE. THE ITEMS PURCHASED WERE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS & FRESH. SEE PICS POSTED .I will return to this establishment again when passing through Slidell. It's worth a stop in, great eye appealing Pastries. AAA+++
I have been purchasing the chocolate eclairs to bring to my friends house when they invite me over for dinner. Everyone raved how delicious they were. Front counter person very friendly. I love to do business with friendly employees that welcome you in with a smile on their face.
If there was zero stars, I would have picked zero. I ordered a baby shower cake months in advance. I had more conversations/texts than I can count and after all of that, the color of the cake was wrong. I was so disappointed. I emailed a photograph of the cake with the colors months in advance. The correct color was more of a slate blue that would match the other decorations we had chosen. But instead, I received for the $150.00 I spent, a very light baby blue cake somewhat similar to the photograph I sent. On top of that, I had to order the cake decorations myself from Amazon and have them delivered to them! I was contacted when they received the balls from Amazon, and was told that the balls were not the correct color and would I mind if she made a fondant to go over the balls to match. I was a little confused as to why I had to order the balls when fondant could be used to create the same effect. I would have thought you would have sent me a photograph of the cake prior to us picking it up, but maybe you were not very proud of it, I absolutely was not!! You need to step it up Marguerite's! I will not recommend anyone to you.
