The food was great! Everything from the bacon to the eggs was just the right texture , flavor and quantity. Maria’s customer service is exemplary because not only did my waitress check up on me but the other employees would also check on my table consistently. The atmosphere was very comfortable. I felt as if I was at home. Overall the experience was great and if I was ever in the area I would definitely return.
If it’s possible to make fluffy amazing fried eggs, Maria’s is the place !! everything we got was delicious from the biscuits and gravy, the broccoli cheese and tomato omelette was amazing, Perfect not overcooked, the the home fries were ridiculously great with onions, even the unsweetened iced tea was amazing. I don’t know how they do it but the entire meal was exceptional. I highly recommend that you stop and eat breakfast here.!! Andrea and her son Chris we amazing!!
Though my rating is low, I want to say that everyone at this restaurant was incredibly nice. This review is mostly based off of the food quality. We thought the prices were very reasonable and sitting outside was enjoyable. We had drip coffee, Veggie Benedict daily special with grits, and Peach Crepes daily special. The Veggie Benedict was two poached eggs atop some avocado and a fried green tomato. It was under salted and really needed some kind of bread with it. It was not made clear to us that there was no English muffin. We were given a choice of hardness for the poached egg and we chose medium, but the eggs received were entirely runny and thin.. and being without any bread, made this dish feel messy and unfulfilling. The grits were average, but still not to our liking. There were two generously sized Peach Crepes for our other dish. Unfortunately, the crepes were very thick, tough, and gummy. The peach filling was sour but the cinnamon addition to the peaches was great. The drip coffee was very standard. The employees were very kind, attentive, and accommodating.
Happy puppy happy customer! Staff was great and quick to bring a pup bowl of water and were very attentive!!Food: 5/5
We went for breakfast. Everything was good. Waitress was friendly. Cute place.Food: 4/5
Wait time, minimal. Service, punctual and on point Ordered a custom omelette. Barely had a chance to enjoy the window view of downtown before this delicious monstrosity of an omelette came barreling towards me. 3 egg standard here, no weak 2 egg omelettes, but they can if you can’t handle it. No bite left behind. 10/10 all around.
Fairly new to the PSL area, and was looking for a new place for breakfast. Well I found one!! Maria’s Cafe was a quaint cozy place in Downtown Stuart. I had the Greek Omelette with Home Fries & toast. The omelette was perfectly cooked and the spinach, Feta, and sausage was topping to this great meal. Some of the best home fries I’ve had. The menu has all types of great choices and the staff were all warm and friendly as well as provided great service.
Very good homemade food, the biscuits and the gravy are homemade I really like this place can’t wait to come back for lunch, if your in Stuart you must try this place
I was disappointed, by the food and service. I hate to write reviews like this, but this place needs help. I could have chalked up slow service, or unavailable menu items to personnel shortages, or product delays, but the problems here were not that. We had a few different types of drinks, between our group, and I will say that the server did a good job at refilling our coffee, albeit, we were right next to the coffee machines. Our other beverages went unattended, which typically servers would observe and ask if we would have liked any more, but they didn't, even when our table requested, the refilled beverages never arrived. To make matters worse, all of our plates had food items that came out, from the kitchen, with either cold or room temperature. When mentioned to the server, she took the cold grits to the kitchen, and immediately returned with hot ones. My colleague was impressed by the speed, mentioned he guessed they were microwaved, not replaced with fresh. The even worse frustration was with the cold soggy fries that accompanied my patty melt. When reported to the server, she apologized, and said more would come right out. Nearly half an hour later, when my whole party had finished our meals, still no replacement fries. While receiving the check, I inquired about what happened. The response was the worst part. The server had told us that since the kitchen was serving breakfast, it confused them on making the French fries. This was concerning either because she had forgotten to request new fries and was lying to cover her mistake, instead of just being honest, people make mistakes, or, truly, the kitchen personnel, whom had just used the fryer to make fries, were having issues doing what they had done a hour earlier. Either way, bad service, and disappointing food. I wouldn't go back.
My wife stopped in after walking through the stores and immediately sat at one of the tables next to the window. Try the Rueben! It was so good that I ordered a second one after I ate the first one. Would have been nice to have a pickle with it, but still an amazing meal. Our server was running around a lot and didn't stop by our table more than twice during our whole meal and brought us the check before we could order the second sandwich. Definitely plan on going back next time we are down there.
