They were nice at scheduling our appointment. Very accommodating, and that is the two stars are for. When we got there we had to wait a considerable amount of time before they take care of us. And they did not do what we asked them. I had scheduled my kid for a chipped tooth and a usual cleaning and check up and the dentist just checked the chipped tooth and when I reminded them about the cleaning they totally ignored me. Also it is not kids friendly. My 7 yo got so bored that she does want to go back there while she usually loves to go to the dentist.
My daughter just finished with her braces and her teeth are beautiful. The office staff and Dr. Pope were accommodating and worked with us to schedule her appointments. Anytime I had a question or my daughter needed something they responded promptly. It was a positive experience and the office is wonderful.
I went to Maricopa Family Dentistry, and had not had dental care for years. Everyone was very kind and quite understanding of my fear of dental work. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain what I needed to have done. I left knowing this was my dental office !
Went for an appointment to be fitted for a retainer in June, they told me 6-8 weeks. I waited until August, 11 weeks after to call them. At first they said they would give me a call back to give me an update, I received nothing. I waited until the very end of the day to call for them to give me an update because they hadn't. Then they said they hadn't received it, which I understand with manufacturing delays, it happens. I then waited until NOVEMBER to call because I still hadn't received an update & then all of a sudden they said they had an opening the next day for me to come in and try it on because there may be something wrong. When I showed up for the appointment they said nothing about anything being wrong, they just gave me my retainer to go on my way. The reality of this, they probably never originally got the order placed which caused the original delay, on top of that it's just terrible staff. Cherry topper: when I called to cancel the next appointment I had prescheduled for a cleaning, it was a completely different time/date than what I received a notification for. I didn't bring up the terrible service I received during this whole time, what's the point of arguing? I will just never come back, I will spend my money elsewhere with quality service.
The Dental team does a great job. The problem arises when it’s time to pay. The manager, Carol, admitted to me they didn’t quote actual full price of what’s needed for you procedure because “we don’t want to overwhelm the patient.“ This happened to my 80 year old retired Mother on a fixed income. If she knew it was going to cost over $8000.00 for the procedure instead of the quoted $3800.00, she would have got another opinion. The front office is dishonest and we will never use this business again.
I was satisfied until they billed my insurance $63 for a cleaning. My insurance paid 59.85. Then I was sent a bill for $8.15. They added a five dollar paper statement fee which apparently I agreed to electronically. I would have preferred that they just told me how much I owe at the end of my treatment for just asked me to pay the money when I went in for my next cleaning.
The Dental Assistant was super sweet and helpful. The doctor was straight forward with me and didn’t sugar coat anything. Went back for my procedure and plan on keeping them as my dentists office for as long as I can. Awesome work and enjoyable experiences!
I called this practice and talked to Dr Pope initially on the phone. Told him that before I made an appointment I wanted to make sure the doctors were on board with my care being all natural. No numbing etc he was totally okay with it. No issues, made an appointment and seen Dr Ross. He was amazing! Super informative and answered all my questions! He was set to do my extraction! And then he recommended me to see Dr. Callaway for my fillings.. I seen him. He was very rude, very irritated and very rushed. He was mocking me and saying that "by the looks of your xrays and the fillings you have had, it looks like you don't sit still in the chair good enough for the dentists while they are performing your procedure.. this must be due to no local anesthetic...." I was shocked. I literally was speechless for a moment and I said "you're going to blame someone's bad work on me? And tell me that I don't "sit still" so my fillings are messed up?" To me that doesn't make any sense. He got even more irritated with me coming back with that question. He said that's why they use local anesthetic. Well I DON'T. HAVEN'T FOR OVER 8 YEARS. MY CHOICE. which is why I called to make sure BEFORE I PAID ANOTHER CONSULT. and it was false. I don't need drugs, I don't need to be "numbed" or put to sleep I have a great pain tolerance and I can handle getting fillings done. They have never hurt me, ever. So again after my appointment with Callaway I told the office manager Carol that I would like to refund the plan portion we paid. Because we were not getting our fillings done there. Only my extraction.. Then they sent a dismissal letter to my email telling me I can't see Dr ross anymore for my extraction because they don't feel it's a good fit. It frustrates me because my appointment with Dr Ross was great and I was very comfortable and ready for him to take care of my extraction. I emailed and called, the last email says they will not discus anything further and apparently I am not able to talk to Dr Ross personally...
I'm a patient, my mother is not. My mother fell & chipped her front teeth, was bleeding & couldn't see where from. I called at 4pm to see if they can get her in, just look and see if anything serious had happened. The front desk had the audacity to tell me the last "new patient" appointment was at 3pm. I just wanted her to be seen as an emergency, can't they make an exception, "she is bleeding?" They put me on hold & said the doctors said they didn't have time for her. I hung up on them. I won't go back. I called the dentist next to domino's, they were more than happy to get her in, x-rays and all. I will be going to them from here on out, with or without dental insurance. Oh, and if I could give ZERO STARS...I would. They don't deserve 1 star. They obviously don't care about my mother that chipped her teeth & is bleeding to make time to see her.
All the staff was very friendly during my visit. Everything that was being done was explained and multiple options for care were given to me when appointment was completed. I look forward to going back to the maricopa location for future dental appointments for myself and family
