Marin County Parks offers for public use and enjoyment an extensive system of regional and community parks, open space preserves, and trails. These lands provide us with clean air and water, outstanding beauty and recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. The department consists of two divisions, the Parks and Landscape Division and the Marin County Open Space District (MCOSD). Our team is made up of committed professionals serving in the core programs of operations and maintenance, planning and resource management, volunteer, environmental education, and administrative services.
We are dedicated to educating, inspiring, and engaging the people of Marin in the shared commitment of preserving, protecting, and enriching the natural beauty of Marin's parks and open spaces, and providing recreational opportunities for the enjoyment of all generations.
