Marina Cafe Wilmington

About

Marina Cafe is a beautiful hidden gem located in the heart of Wilmington Shores. Open for breakfast, lunch, weekend happy hours & a monthly brunch buffet.

Description

Marina Cafe Wilmington Shores was established in March of 2015. We are located far off the beaten path in the heart of the Wilmington Marina. The cafe sits on a quiet peninsula in the Yacht Haven Marina with breathtaking views of sailboats and yachts that rest in the LA Harbor. The scenic patio boasts a panoramic scene filled with industrial cranes and ships juxtaposed by the Vincent Thomas Bridge with the San Pedro/Palos Verdes Peninsula silhouetted by the afternoon sunsets.

This hidden cafe serves fresh, homestyle dishes daily for breakfast and lunch, along with a fabulous Sunday Brunch Buffet once a month. Happy Hours on Fridays and Saturdays include chilled beers on tap and by the bottle along with wines and a tasty appetizer selection. Weekend supper specials are available Friday and Saturday evenings with occasional live entertainment on the open-air patio. Diners are delighted by favorite plates such as the Fish & Chips, Angus Burger, Old School Tacos & Enchiladas, and breakfast dishes like the Hot Mess or Juevos Rancheros.

This hidden gem is owned and operated by born-and-raised, San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes local, Sheri Hadjis. She got an early start working with her family at their restaurant, El Sombrero, then went on to UCLA Culinary Arts School. Sheri later opened Miraleste Catering in 1996, which inspired her to open the brick-and-mortar restaurant that we know today as the Marina Cafe Wilmington Shores.

We appreciate your support and hope you can make Marina Cafe your personal hideaway and go-to spot for delicious food, beautiful views and a place to meet fun and interesting people with many stories to tell!

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Fish tacos were yummy, and bloody mary was super delicious with bacon, celery, olives, and celery!!
Super charming spot with delicious food and ambiance. It’s our new favorite breakfast place! Our toddler son loves looking at the boats and birds. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Food is perfectly portioned and tasty - we all finished our plates including our picky toddler! Will be back:
Great spot to enjoy the best burger in town, dockside, with friends and a beer and to the sounds of Carla D and the B-Side May 14th!!! The smell of the ocean water makes me want to have raw oysters and a martini, but beer and wine only here.Recommended dishesAngus Burger, Clam Chowder Soup, Fish Tacos and Rice and Beans, Grilled Cheese
Great food! Great scenery! Great atmosphere! And very reasonable. Sherry is very sweet and very personable! She takes pride in her cafe and it shows! Was in the area and found it on accident! Highly recommend it! It will be a memorable experience! Promise!
I was visiting Long Beach while my partner was working and I decided to come here before my drive back home. I always like to go to places with my name and the reviews had me convinced. I ordered the fish and chips and they did not disappoint!!! It was so freaking good. I think the only thing that was a bother for me was the drive into the location is pretty industrial and heavy with oil drilling. I'm not a big fan of that as an environmentalist but that's not the restaurants fault of course. Just an observation I had. Regardless, if you're in the area you need to eat at this place!!!
small hidden gem, consistent & quality food, patio seating overlooking a marina, awesome atmosphere, and friendly staff. I almost want to give them a one star review so this place won't get popular and crowded but how selfish would that be. they have a monthly all you can eat brunch that's really good and worth it even if it does get crowded. they have options for most anyone and serve alcohol. best place ever, except sometimes the waitresses are just horrible, and don't know how to remember things or manage their time.
Food was amazing and for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was so welcoming and calming being right next to the water and the owner is literally the nicest person ever. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be coming back whenever I can.Food: 5/5
We had a group of about 30 to the Cafe today. It was a great time with delicious food. The owner was very engaged and she along with her staff made our time a fun experience that it is worth to recognize and encourage others to visit Marina Cafe. Thank you. Jackie Loper, Cruise Chair, CBYCFood: 5/5
Nice and friendly place. Mexican food vibe and classic pacific taste. View on marina and boats. Beer comes along. Good place for many occasions: just breakfast, beer with friends or sports watching they have tv mounted on the wall. Service with a smile.
Hidden gem restaurant at the marina. When in town I visit several times a week. Staff is welcoming and always remembers you. The view is fantastic and the value for your money is on point. Try their specials!!Food: 5/5
