We used Mario's for our wedding cake & desserts and they were delicious! The cake was also so beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Mario was very attentive to our needs and made sure we didn't over order food, which I thought was a great quality of a company. I will certainly be using Mario's again!
Delicious Italian bakery. However, the staff could stand to be a little friendlier. Several staff members behind the counter, yet nobody greeted us when we came in. The lady who helped us didn't seem to want to be there. Maybe she was having an off day.
My daughter and I stopped at Mario's for a baked good. The young lady waiting on us was very nice. It was my daughter's first time, so she was trying to decide what she would like. The phone rang. I'm not sure if it was the owner or who, but because the girl that was helping us did not answer it, he came out and told her "when the phone rings answer it". He could have told her that in private, not for everyone to hear. I felt bad for the girl. He was being rude not only to the girl, but to the customers for berating her in front of us. The Five stars are for the girl helping us.
Delicious fresh Italian cookies, pastries and cakes. Only place on this side of town that makes rainbow cookies, my favorite. The employee working the counter was very sweet, let me try this delicious Jewish cookie I never had before. I ended up getting way more than I came in for but it was 100% worth it. Reasonably priced too!
Nice girls that work at the counter. Great selection of Italian cookies, pies and cakes. You can call ahead to place your order for pickup & request you wear a mask upon entering store.
Used to buy Mario's baked goods when he ran the bakery at Williams grocery store in North Syracuse. Best Irish soda bread ever. Caraway seeds should always be in there. 30 some years he's been doing this and just as good as it's always been. Staff at his shop was very accommodating also! Spoke to Mario himself on a phone when I called to order the bread. What a nice guy! Knows how to treat a customer......
Can't stop eating. Coconut macaroons, fresh out of the oven. Carrot cake, super moist. Orange/ white frosted pumpkin cookie? Oh my heaven!!! Wedding cake cookies.... yummy. Haven't gotten into my almond crescent, but I'm sure it will be amazing!
Mario and his team are all great. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted for my wedding and he helped me decide. He wasn’t out to just take my money; he actually talked me down from ordering a bigger cake. The size he recommended was perfect. He was very easy to talk to and never got impatient with me even though I know I was probably a pain to work with because I couldn’t make up my mind. He used all the product I gave him for decorating the cake and cupcakes and they came out looking beautiful and tasting amazing. Mario himself came to the venue to do the dessert setup and it looked amazing. Both times I went in to have a meeting with him I left with pastries; it smells so good in his bakery I couldn’t leave without purchasing something! We will definitely be going back to Mario for future events!
Love their baked goods, always fresh They did a cake for me for my Granddaughters graduation it was amazing
What's not to love about this local bakery...always awesome cookies, pastries and CAKES! And you can always count on Mario to put in his 2cents for design ideas with specialty cakes...my go-to bakery!
