My stomach feels like it's about to explode. I think I just ate enough food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our party of 4 got the arroz con chaufa de mariscos, two orders of tallarin verdes, and a lomo saltado. All of these dishes were delicious and I would highly recommend, but one plate should feed 2-3 people. Lunch Special PSA: It's only available on weekdays.
Excellent food, tried the chicken lomo saltado and seafood tallarin dishes. Both excellent. Sangria was great for $5 a glass. Aji nice and spicy. Good service. Will be back!
Great food, almost every dish is delicious. Very generous protein portions. Does take a while for food to come out because they cook everything fresh, so some patience is needed. Place does need a bit of updating. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!Food: 5/5
Nice large spot for Peruvian food. The wait staff was attentive and nice. They serve complementary bread rolls which are super delicious. I had the purple drink called chicha morada, which is primarily made of corn. It's super delicious and a little on the sweet side. Definitely did not expect that flavor. I believe it also cooked with pineapple rinds to give it that tangy sweetness. To eat I had the bistec a lo pobre. The planatos were a bit green for my preference, as I'm used to eating them really mature to bring out the sweetness. The fries were kinda plain and unsalted and not crispy at all. They were soggyish, but I probably blame that on the steak smothering them. The steak was seared well, and the flavor was good. The eggs, well they were eggs. Overall, I'd return. I'd just ask for the fries to be salted and not placed under the steak.
Fish dish was good although What I got was battered and fried it tasted good, not oily The seafood salad was also quite good, maybe a tad more sour than I would have liked, but squid was soft and fresh so were the veggies that were also crisp. Would definitely go back. The bread buns and butter at the start were nice, although perhaps it's more a British thing than a Peruvian touch. I guess serving sweet grilled corn on the cob would have been much more expensive in comparison : Service was professional and efficient, atmosphere was ok for lunch. Feels a bit like a high end diner. Important note to the managers owner: Men's bathroom looked clean, but floor was a bit on the sticky/greasy side and didn't feel as clean as the rest sinks and toilets. Sadly there was a very bad smell throughout the toilet area which somehow and fortunately remained confined there and didn't spill into the dining zone. Not sure where it came from. Also the soap smelled quite bad but in a different sense... After I washed my hands they didn't smell fresh or clean, but rather like I have been handling something made out of plastic or rubber like a car tire leaving an odd chemical odor on my hands... I highly suggest to the owner to get to the bottom of where that smell in the toilet is coming from so it can be eliminated because it really ruins the whole experience. Also change hand soap to something smelling neutral and clean and please have the floor cleaned so it won't feel sticky or greasy under people's shoes.
Enjoyed a good lunch. Hot bread butter and green aji sauce help fill the wait until our meal arrived. The chupe de camarones was filled with shrimp and was yummy . The chicha morada tasted authentic. Overall a good experience. Plenty of seats for a large party. Saw a baby shower in my recent visit. One of the better Peruvian restaurants in OC. Still good in 2021.
Came here for a birthday celebration. We had a group of 17 people. Our server was a bit slow but it still got delivered without attitude. Food portion was big. Most of the food were cooked fried. Majority of the dishes we ordered was good and flavorful. Restaurant seating was not cramped tight. Enough space for us to move around. Overall, it's a great experience.
This is a very nice family restaurant with authentic touches from Peru.It was our first time to try out this Peruvian restaurant even we passed by it after so many years. This restaurant was very popular with its own ethnic group. It was busy during the time we dined there. Is was full of customers and people were having fun. We ordered chupe de Cameron, chicharron de calamari and Bistec ala chorillana. The foods were so fresh and delicious. The chupe was interesting and different. It's tasted and looked like the curry in different forms. The broth was good and it cooked with milk, potato and shrimp no wondered it was good. Chicharron de calamari was fresh and yummy. Overalls, the dinner was satisfactory. The services were extremely friendly and courteous. This place has a very good vibe. All the foods here were authentic and well represented. There were so many delicious dishes on the menu we probably are back for more at this place later on.
This is the third or fourth time visiting Sol Inka and stoped in here a couple weeks ago because a family member was craving the fresh bread rolls and green sauce that is delivered to the table when you are seated. By the end of our meal the green sauce bottle was empty. I ordered one of the most popular plates Lomo Saltado. The meat was cooked well but the fries were over done. Don’t get me wrong I almost cleared everything from the plate, so it was tasty but the next time I’ll ask for them to under cooked. Every time we have been here the service has been amazing, very attentive and accommodating.
Always pleased with the service and food! Love this place! They recently added a beautiful new bar, sadly they only sale beer and the subpar alcohol. No name brand liquor, so surprised for such a beautiful bar addition.
