I was in the mood for a good sandwich and tried this spot. I called in my order of the blackened chicken sandwich. When I arrived I parked in a lot nearby. I walked in and gave the lady my name and she grabbed my food. I paid and left. When I dug in the sandwich was really good. It was seasoned to perfection! I enjoyed it and had a good experience.
This place has gone super downhill since I remember it. I have lived in Clifton my whole life and have frequented this establishment many many times. The last time I went I went with a buddy. We sat at the bar to have a few drinks and some dinner. The service was so awful that we ended up having one drink. No one ever came over to check on us we had an order of mussels to start expecting to order dinners after but after 30 minutes of waiting to be checked on we just decided there is no way we could stay here. I must mention we were the only two people there and there were five staff members sitting in a booth talking with each other playing with their phones. Today I went in for it to go order. I asked for sausage parm, and what a mistake that was. It was a big fiasco because they said all We have the sausage and peppers but they have meatball parm on the menu so I don't know why they couldn't just take the sausage and put it with marinara and mozzarella. After a few minutes they decided to comply and I still got peppers in it and a whole lot of grease. The only request I made after that was no bread because I'm dieting. The service is really bad. The food is not good and I think I got two pieces of sausage in this thing for $13. Go somewhere else. There's many Clifton restaurants that can use the business. Very unhappy and disappointed in what has happened to this Clifton icon.
Outdated, dirty place with even nasty employees. Nasty receptionist named Dorella. Food is low quality most times, not consistent with taste , not sure how can someone not make something as simple as pizza the same way every time, let along other entrees. Save your money go somewhere more modern CLEANER AND MORE APPRECIATED AS A CUSTOMER, and not be given attitude and dirty looks as soon as you walk in. Under old original ownership this place was a little gem in town, now is just a dump. Highly recommend Clifton Village pizza on Clifton ave and Allwood rd Intersection.
Hadn’t been back here since I was a kid. 40 years ago! Used to go with my grand mother. Was in town so stopped in. Was just as I remembered it. Great old school Italian!
Amazing little place in a nice town . The food was fast fresh and had amazing portions. The steak sandwich was mouthwatering and the bread was very fresh !! The staff was so happy and delightful !! Can't wait to come back and try the amazing food ! Family friendly and easy to find.Food: 5/5
Good all round local restaurant. Very pleasant staff and atmosphere was good. I went there late afternoon so not exactly peak time but there were still quite a few diners there. I had clam chowder soup very good grilled salmon tad dry but I expect little else from farmed salmon lava cake very good . Not an unreasonable price of $42. Certainly couldn't get that in Vegas where i live any longer. Yes, my husband's local eatery scores good. Thank you.
Great place for a quick bite. The small plates are not really small. The service was great and so was the food. We loved the eggplant rolatini and the chicken and shrimp.Food: 5/5
Really bad staff. The hostess seemed like she was too busy taking phone calls and didn’t have time to seat us and gave us an annoyed look. So the waitress sitting down on the right got up and sat us but then it seemed like the other waitress got upset that she sat us in her section and it wasn’t equal. The place was pretty empty for a Friday night but still the service was slow. Pizza was decent but nothing special and the salads antipasto was bad. Seems like more of a take out place cause they are really focused on the Uber drivers and grub hub people then focusing on the people who come in and actually sit down and eat. The place looks dated and dirty; we won’t go back.
We enjoy the pizza and wings from here. Nice old school pizza joint, low key and quiet vibe . Server was great and there was not a long wait for food.Food: 4/5
This place is bad; not the same I used to how growing up. Ever watch “Bar Rescue” with the terrible owner that doesn’t realize he is old school and he’s full of debt, and his workers hate him but he still never gets that he is the reason it’s so bad? That’s this place. Terrible owner, terrible service, and pizza is not the same. I expect him to give an arrogant reply; basically it will prove my point.
