Mark has served in public office for Sanger as the Mayor, City Attorney, and City Councilman. He is currently serving as a board member for the Sanger Cemetery District. For over twenty years voters have elected him as a member to the Fresno County Republican Central Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Sequoia Lake Y.M.C.A. and the Board of Trustees for Sonrise Baptist Church.
His hobbies include hunting, sports, exercise, farming, river rafting, and horseback riding. He is a licensed Hunter Education Instructor with the California Department of Fish and Game. He also runs a farming operation on his ranch, which he has done since his childhood.
