We offer our customers a large selection of fine wines from around the US and the world, as well as farmstead and artisan cheeses from Wisconsin.
Market on Sixth is a remarkable wine and cheese shop located in downtown Marshfield, just off Central Avenue. Our selection includes new and old world wines from around the world, Craft spirits from Scotches to beautiful Gins, and a Craft beer selection that is unique to central Wisconsin.
Open tastings are held on the third Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. We usually open three wines for these tastings, and Chuck (the owner) talks about each of them: their location, the grapes from which they are made, and what the attendees should be tasting in them. There is no charge for these tastings, and all are welcome (but you do need to be over 21!).
We also offer an event on the last Friday of each month: Wine-Down Friday 3:00pm to 7:30pm. This very informal "gathering" is geared to those who would like to sit, sit and "schmooze" with friends. Simply select and purchase your bottle of wine. We uncork it and bring it to your tables with glasses. If you wish, cheese and crackers may be purchased to accompany the wine. We do suggest reservations, as the number of outdoor tables is limited.
