We love this store. It has everything we need and also found new brands of products we can’t find anywhere else.
Clean. Friendly employees. The prices however, were so shocking, my husband who usually does the shopping forgot half the things on the list because he was shocked by the prices. $10 for an 8 pack of hamburger buns. $1.50/can of vienna sausages. So expensive he put them back on the shelf and didn't grab an alternative. Usually, when stores charge this much, they have some sort of shoppers card that offers convenient discounts/perks. Even rewards points so after 10 packs of hot dog buns $100 will get me a $5 gift card to Amazon or $5 towards a Thanksgiving turkey or $5 off my bill. This place charges those prices and doesn't offer a viable discount/reward system. The fuel points are more inconvenient than they are worth. Usually too, local stores use the shoppers cards to get to know their customer base better so there's better savings for both the store and the customer. It works both ways and would be their best interest to have something like that. Believe me, I get it, there's inflation, seriously I get it, but after recently traveling to several states this year, Bemidji stores, outside of the store across the street, have the HIGHEST and MOST SHOCKING prices I ever seen Wisconsin, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the rest of Minnesota. I'm not on a budget but even so, it makes absolutely no sense for me as a customer to pay 3x's the price when I can walk across the street and save myself a considerable amount of money. Would be a loyal customer if prices weren't outrageous.
Good selection of products, most of which are always fresh. Helpful Staff and neatly organized shelves
Very clean and well stocked. Not very organized things that should be by each other are no where near each other. Little more spendy than other stores but worth it for the friendly service and carry out is available unlike other stores in town. They do have very good sales once in awhile as well. Love the gas stamps.
We went to the deli due to our vehicle was getting fixed. They had a nice selection of chicken, sides, salad bar. You could also get sandwiches, salads, wraps, and sushi on the other side. A nice little seating area to eat also. Everything was clean and people where friendly.
Thank you so much to the young woman in the C-Store this afternoon at Marketplace Foods in Bemidji. I forgot my mask and she gave me one so I didn't have to go back to my car. She said it was too cold and too wet! Really appreciated it.
Marketplace has just about everything a person could want. Prices are decent, but much better during a sale. You can get in and out quickly if your aim is to get home and cook right away.
I like the convenience of the C-store entrance. You can stop and fill your gas tank then go in and grab some things from grocery and then check out in one transaction. The stamp program is a great $ saver also.
Always friendly staff. They make it easy to pick up a few grocery items the same time you gas up your vehicle, by having a checkout on the side if the gas pumps.
Good selection of items good sales. I enjoy the gas stamps. I use them to get money off my total shopping trip and they give you double stamps on the weekends.
