Come to the grove for an old school diner breakfast. Indoor/outdoor seating with personable waitstaff. Oversized portions, I ordered the 3 egg selection but they needed to hold 1 egg… bright airy space…
My husband and I had lunch at the Marmalade Cafe today on our way back from visiting the La Brea Tar Pits. We had a wonderful lunch. My husband had the fish tacos which he really liked and I had the 1/2 size garlic shrimp with linguine. It was delicious! We shared a piece of New York Cheesecake for dessert. Our server was Steve and he couldn't have been nicer. He validated our parking for us, also. The atmosphere was very relaxing and everyone was so friendly. We definitely plan to return for another great dining experience. Parking: Our parking was validated so we didn't have to pay anything for parking. Wheelchair accessibility: I had more than enough room to maneuver my wheelchair there.
It’s decent, and for the area you expect to get fully gauged but they just kinda semi gauge you so it doesn’t hurt as bad.Food: 3/5
The place is quite dingy, booths upholstery seen better days, perhaps half a century ago, bathrooms are dimly lit to hide some crimes agains hygiene. I ordered eggplant and deeply regretted my choice. The dish was a deep fried panko crust welded to the thinnest membrane of an eggplant. Lamb burger had zero flavor. Guys, salt is cheap, throw some on that poor burger. Lamb lost its life for this travesty!
Very friendly staff. They were able to accommodate my seating without any issues. I always opt for out door by the pool The raspberry lemon vodka drink was so delicious. Highly recommend! I gave four stars because my pasta wasn’t cooked all the way through. I like my pasta to be soft.. Don’t get me wrong, my pasta was good. The noodles just needed to be cooked a little longer. Great location, obviously. The Grove.
Friendliest staff i’ve seen. Very very spacious for a large party. In the heart of the grove ! Large menu selection and decent prices for the portions. I personally love their parmesan fries and steak quesadilla.Food: 4/5
Hey, it’s the mall. On the level of a Cheesecake Factory, however may I suggest this is better for early-mid day dining. Service was fine, large outdoor seating section. Menu prices a bit elevated, but hey, it’s the Grove, so forget about it. THE FOOD: solid. Nothing salty. Eggplant Parm: for the win! Extra sauce will be needed so ask in advance. The perfect amount of breading and cheese I can always have more cheese. Calamari: pass. Sliced too big and not crispy or seasoned well.
I had lunch at Marmalade Cafe in The Grove on my last day in Los Angeles. The food and service were good. We sat outside in the lovely sunshine which was covered. The menu has a lot of choice and vegetarian options and all of the food we ordered came out quickly and was nice.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Our meal at Marmalade Cafe was average at best. My boyfriend got the Reuben sandwich and the meat was not tender at all and a bit hard to take a bite out of and chew. I got the Chinese Chicken Salad and was very disappointed. The salad was flooding with dressing, and the chicken looked as if it came from a can, with the color being off which made me feel uneasy. Additionally, we asked to sit outside and were sit all the way in the back corner where the table had spiderwebs and the couch seating was torn we went on a Sunday during early lunch hours and the restaurant was not busy at all. The staff/service was fine, our waitress was kind, but overall the food was nothing special and there are plenty of better options at The Grove.
A girlfriend and I went to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour for my birthday. She asked if there was anywhere I wanted to eat and I said MARMALADE!!! I have been coming here for years and since I hadn’t been in awhile I was craving their beef pot roast meal! The flavor this dish has is exquisite! The combination of vegetables with the meat and mashed potatoes just melt in your mouth! I cannot wait to go back!!
