Beautiful view. Good mimosas - you can customize! Super sweet staff. Food is... not so great. If you like calabash style, they have a platter that is ok. They also score some pretty decent apps. Go for the view and the drinks. They have a lovely patio on the ground floor with its own bar... but it's open at weird times.
Most likely the best food in Hampstead NC. Outside view is spectacular. But why why why did a carpenter decide the outdoor table height??? Outside tables are at least 5 inches too high for a standard chair. They should be 30 inches and they are not they are way too high. The food is delicious I have never had a bad cocktail or meal. Does this fantastic chef know they only use salad forks with every meal? They do not use regular size forks with a salad entree or any entree for that matter. IMO great food but everything else is out of scale.

Hidden little gem. Clean kitchen, knowledgeable and hardworking boat staff, and smiles. Loved working there, but like eating there more.

Service is outstanding!!!! Food is less then average, seafood is frozen and not fresh or local, huge disappointment! Apps are better then the main dishes, entrees and sandwiches!
In general we like the place and they are trying to get better. The location is perfect. The food is generally decent. The main issue is the menu between the upstairs and downstairs. You cannot take food from upstairs downstairs and visa versa. The menus are different but it's the same place. The waitstaff could be better and the seating on a busy day seems confusing because of how the place is divided. There is definitely room for improvement.
The Sailfish restaurant has great food, 2 good bars, docks for boaters arriving to eat, and nice outdoor seating overlooking the intracoastal waterway. Bar and small dining area upstairs with some outdoor tables on the deck. Larger area downstairs with a bar and covered seating plus an adjoining outdoor area with more seating. The wait staff is friendly and provide great service on all levels. The ribs tonight we're cooked to perfection, the appetizers we're plentiful and delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend that you try this place!
We went last Friday for dinner. Arrived at 5, wasn’t busy at all. We walked through the door and the hostess was not welcoming at all, really seemed annoyed we were there. She didn’t say “hi” or anything, it was just a snotty look with “how many?” Once we sat out on the deck the views made up for the hostess and we were excited to have a great dinner. Then our server came. He was very nice but sooooo quiet. The food was good but definitely a tad over priced.
