Very primitive field sites with electric and water hookups. The dump station is kind of iffy make sure u bring cloves to throw away as well as a dirty bag as well as water to rinse dump lines. No water at dump station is disappointing
Very primitive field sites with electric and water hookups. The dump station is kind of iffy make sure u bring cloves to throw away as well as a dirty bag as well as water to rinse dump lines. The bath house doubles as a sana since the water heater is in the same room as toilet and shower. Great campground for a couple to escape to, but may wanna stay up the road if u have kids.
Not really a campground. Just a big open field. No tables or fire pits. Just a couple of pedestal charcoal cooker things. It's cheap though but I don't think it was worth it.
Best price in the area by far! It's pretty quiet especially so close to the road. Tent sites on the right, rv to the left with a large field in the middle, great for Frisbee or playing catch. Fishing/ kayak in a small channel. Tent sites have a small metal grill, ground is grass, was flat and soft. Tons of fireflies lightening bugs in june/july, lots of beetles, minimal other insects including mosquitoes which I attract from everywhere. There is a bath house, with shower and sinks, it was clean.
Great place to camp and RV. Friendly and exceedingly helpful staff. Grounds are well kept with the most spacious room! Had I had more $$$ I'd consider staying another night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Having camped frequently and have traveled all over the United States, this campground, although small, is so pretty and has a beautiful large yard to have fun with volleyball, badmitten, softball, or whatever and a large pavilion to hold large group picnics. However, there seems to be a problem with the septic system. There was a strong stench which permeated all around our site...making cooking and eating unpleasant! The facilities were lacking much...with only a small building with 2 separate rooms, each room was equipped with one shower, comode, and sink. And one shower room was locked for the entirety of our 5 night stay. A beautiful, small and quiet park, needing some serious septic work and updating the facilities. Would love to come back...but not until corrections are made.
It was a very bad experience. My family and i were thrown out of Marsh creek campground because we "apparently" were too loud and neighbors complained. After talking to multiple neighbors and finding out nobody complained. They needed the spot open for somebody else. After advertising the campground was closing. No more than my family and i moved in to Marsh Creek. We recived a notice that they were going to be turning the water off between the house of 10pm and 6am. But instead they turn it off whenever they please. We went a total of 18hrs without water and i have children without notice. And again after talking to neighbors, the water issue has been going on for a long time . My family and i were not informed before we handed over $575 dollars for FULL HOOK UP. And only had running water 20% of the time. We were told we were too loud,my husband i apparently fight all the time and keep people up at night. But my husband i haventhad a single fight in almost 6months. But since moving out July 6th and them apparently closing the campground. There is already somebody new in our spot
We statlyed here while visiting Gettysburg. The location is good. Be aware that this is a very small campground and appears to be casually operated, but it was nice and quiet and the services were good. I will go back here next trip to Gettysburg.
Had a wonderful time there. Nothing special but a nice place to stop over. Near Gettysburg but far enough out as to avoid all the hassle of the crowds.
Pretty scenery. Low key place. Good when you need a nights stay.
