This hardware always goes above and beyond for their customers—finding, ordering, delivering—they do it all! And the selection of all items throughout the store is absolutely amazing! So delighted to have such a wonderful store in our wonderful town.

Nice staff, well stocked. Supports downtown Marshall businesses with attractive location. Nice to see businesses in older buildings maintaining a warm, yet easily accessible storefront. We've lost so many of these types of stores. Check 'em out.

Herman's Marshall Hardware is a great place to go if you need something for a specific project, and also to get some advice on how to do the project. They are always friendly and helpful.

I was asked multiple times within minutes if I needed help by very friendly and personable guys. I love the atmosphere. It's very cool with multiple levels. They truly do have a little bit of everything which is awesome. I didn't feel unsafe at anytime, quite the opposite actually. I love the hometown feel. You'll definitely get fantastic help for any projects at Do It Best in Marshall.

I have always found the customer service to be stellar, so I'm surprised to read any negative customer reviews. Unless on the rare occasion everyone is tied up, you get helped as soon as you walk in the door with whatever you're looking for. I've been here for everything from light bulbs to even having them spend time calling in companies to get the right formula to match certain paints brands. Very helpful, and the owner Herman is especially friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I stopped off in Marshall to hit the local antique shops. We wandered into Herman's and it was amazing. So many interesting things to look at. The lawn and garden section in particular was amazing. We picked up a lovely gazing ball, some beautiful wind chimes, and a couple of other neat things. The owner was fantastic. Very friendly and deservingly proud of the store. We're definitely going to stop in every time we're up that way.

Herman's Hardware is a wonderful hometown hardware experience. Every Spring he has the best selection of beautiful hanging baskets. We have been a satisfied customer for 34 years!

I had a cousin who lives in a near by town of Olivet tell me about this store. Mary has raved about this store since I have known her. I can see at what she brags about lol. This store is super packed with items to look at and purchase. The man at the counter was super nice and helpful. I will make this a yearly trek every year even though it's 2 hours away. Loved it and the town of Marshall. I voted Trump, next time through I hope to buy one of his Flags. Thank you.

The owners have multiple times made my feel unsafe in the store. The store is difficult to navigate and is generally very cluttered. Add on that he has had people with guns stand in front of the store I feel very unsafe shopping at this store.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Hermans for years. You would be hard pressed to find a more patriaotic, giving, hard working family in Marshall. The store is packed from top to bottom. I am still amazed at the odd ball stuff I walk in looking for and Paul walks me right to it. To the best of my knowledge this is a 3rd gen store. They are always willing to help in anyway. Sure, you may find better deals at the box store, but you won’t have the owner personally help you Or make recommendations. These store fronts are a local gem our community should be proud of. Great people, great store.
