DO NOT CONSIDER A STAY HERE! I would give this place zero stars if that were possible. We booked a week here through our Coast to Coast Membership. We were there in January 2022. This place is NOT a resort. It may have been at one time, but no longer. It's mostly full time residents and it's a strange place. Many of the residents were displaced during a hurricane and Martin Lakes was paid by the state to house them. But many months later they were still there, and they are not good residents. They don't follow rules. They stand in the middle of the street and impede your ability to drive through the park. They stop their vehicles in the middle of road and park. The park is not in good shape. All of these things we witnessed during our very brief encounter here. We were taken through the park to what was supposed to be a site for us. We could have backed in but couldn't have gotten out. We were then taken to another site that would have been impossible for us to get into. They desperately wanted us to stay, which felt weird. We have a 42 foot long fifth wheel and a 22 foot long truck. This park is older and very tight. There are cars parked onto the roads, and there are tight turns. They should not accept large RVs because the park is not suitable for them. They should no longer be a part of Coast to Coast because they are NOT A resort. We did not stay, and they did give us a refund. In several years of travel around the country and many, many stops we have never felt unsafe at any other RV Park. We felt unsafe here in broad daylight. We couldn't stay. It was a scary place, mostly because of some of their residents. I'm sure the folks who have purchased memberships at this park are unhappy. The owners/management need to revaluate what they are trying to accomplish. If they want to be a Resort they need a different plan. If they want to be a scary trailer park then they are right on track!
Very nice, quaint Park. It is a lot more like camping, not a resort. It has a pool, bath house and laundry. They were clean. There is plenty of room to pull thru large rigs. We are 43 foot low profile in front and rear 5th wheel. The negitives: it needs a park for the kids to play in. And the spots themselves are tight. We had no room to barely sit outside once slides were open and our one truck couldn't even park with us. Had to park in the grass a few sites down. But it's beautiful to walk about!
The most DISGUSTING place we have ever seen!!!! DO NOT BOOK!!!!! They advertise as a “resort” I don’t know if I would even call this a “campground” it’s clearly a long term parking lot for people who are living in RVs, probably displaced from hurricanes over the years, very very sad situation in my opinion, everything is run down, like BAD… but regardless of the other peoples personal “living” spaces the campground itself is HORRIBLE in itself and the owners should be ashamed of themselves for taking peoples money and doing NOTHING to fix up the common spaces. The bathrooms were straight out of a horror movie, the laundry was not even able to use, like I didn’t even want to walk in let alone use a machine, the “pool and hot tub” don’t look like they have been cleaned… EVER. Like literally should be shut down by the Mississippi health department level bad. Just do yourself a favour and don’t even. I genuinely don’t understand how they got a 3.8 stars unless the owners are somehow manipulating the reviews because there is absolutely no way. I left my info for a refund after we left but I’m not holding my breath, they clearly DO NOT care!
The entry looks fantastic and the folks are awesome. The playground looks great as does the lake area. The parking spots are to close together and the place is junkie. The ducks are nice, but a bit to many. Trying to keep your dogs quiet is almost impossible with a duck every 50 feet from you. The homesteaders need to clean up around their Campers, it really is snake looking and just junkie.
There is a dirt road going to the back on the lake and they have it roped off now so nobody can go back there. The pets aren't allowed up front and the back is where we were able to let our pups out. I understand they are a business but that is not fair to the people who have been coming out here for years.
This Park is very junky there are roads with big old holes in them the owner will not fix them the members pay maintenance fees which is outrageously expensive and he does not fix anything I wouldn't let my dog even use the bathrooms there they're moldy and the wood is rotten they're not very well maintained and they don't even clean the pool properly they don't know how to do the pH balance and the chlorine properly the rent has gone up a lot within this year not even worth it they don't even keep the grass cut properly and he is trying to compare the rent to other Parks which are way way nicer than this one
I have been a member there for several years and I just called up there to see if my daughter and grandson could go swim and enjoy the day there; however, I have not paid my dues in full but I have paid over half and was told no not unless I made a payment with them today. This is so UNCALLED for I have always paid my dues ALWAYS and this is how they treat their good members. My membership is FOR SALE if anyone is interested Very disappointed with Martin Lake.
We had an electrical issue the owners Jerry and Jay, the son came over and spent as much time as I needed to and Trace the situation all the way down to the point, Jay found out exactly what was wrong even though it wasn't their problem on their end they stayed they're and they fixed the problem. They are some of the best people you could ever know I would definitely give this resort Five Stars we've been here four years and just wonderful people, good people to know.
Beautiful campground, they have a pool and a lake for your swimming and fishing desires. A nice little quiet area I can't wait to visit again
Never really knew where it was but it's pretty. I love the little cabins in different colors
