The Mary Baldwin College Master of Education program in Environment-Based Learning (EBL) is designed for natural teachers who use the outdoors as a catalyst for teaching all subjects. Each course is taught by a highly qualified instructor who encourages use of the environment to help K-12 students develop critical thinking skills, become better problem-solvers, and understand in-depth issues, all while gaining an appreciation for the environment. We offer a mixture of on-line and summer week-long courses. so that educators from the mid-Atlantic states and beyond can complete the degree or certification. The program is designed for educators who work with students at schools, nature centers and museums, parks and other outdoor areas.
